    Brilliat idea, one I intend to copy. The only thing I would quey is having the dust collection slides on the inside where chips can accumulate and cause binding. I would have made the larger cover at the front and had the runners on the outside of the case, I know this messes up the camera location.

    Form meets function! Absolutely fantastic build man!

  • @Mike-qh5bn
    @Mike-qh5bn 3 года назад +1

    I would also add a cutout in the front of the table for 4th axis and edge cutting of joints e.g. finger joints, dovetails

    Was sound a problem when it was closed and operating? ...as in was it louder when operating.

      @@StonerEricson I'm looking forward to watching more of your video's. FYI- I did something crazy.... brought an x crave pro 4x4. I think your table design is great. I'm wanting to do the same thing but not sure if the 300lbs of the pro is too much. Plus, flipping it up right how easy it may or may not be. I would love to hear suggestion.... or maybe if your interested in building one for me.

    • @StonerEricson
      @StonerEricson  3 года назад

      @@bvinduck oh Man U r sooooo lucky I would have bought the pro but it was announced like two weeks after I got mine it looks like a hell of a machine I have pushed my X carve to its limits many times to try to make it faster
      If it was me I would not build a folding table for it but a hoist or winch Table that would slide up and down from the ceiling to the height I wanted it to keep it out of the way when I wasn’t using it and you can get a really decent winch and cable and pulley rigging system from Amazon or Harbor freight I did this for a rooftop tent I had to keep it up out of the way it worked really well Man I’m so stoked for you can’t wait for you to get it find me on Instagram and show me some pictures of it and tell me what you think because I want one really bad but I just only got mine in October

    Very well planned job, it gave me some ideas for my cnc, really great enclosure.

  • @terry2346

    For sliding you might consider some melamine edge banding for the edges of the enclosure to slide on. I saw someone use that for drawers and it might work well for you also.

    • @StonerEricson
      @StonerEricson  2 года назад

      It slide great I haven’t sorry about that since I built it works really well all the Dustin and the noise down

    Hey Stoner. Great build for the CNC. I have been looking at many different designs for my cabinet and enclosure that I want to build. My Onefinity isn't due to be here until Feb. so I have time to get everything ready. I see that you had shared a short video and cut list for both the table and enclosure. Would you be willing to send those to me as well? I saw the XCarve video and cut list but not the cut list video for the enclosure. Really appreciate all your work and your willingness to share which is awesome. Thanks.

      I never set mine up The dust shoe in the brackets because I go so fast just got in my way every time I want to change a bit I had to take it out but I will make a video of how to do it just for u thanks for watching means a lot

    Nice build!! I built a monster of a table and want to change over to the flip top style to save room. Do you have a picture or video of the wiring going through the enclosure sides? How did you accomplish this? Thanks

    • @StonerEricson
      @StonerEricson  3 года назад +1

      Hey man I was so sketched about the wiring because I didn’t have the Xcarve wen I did it and I was super worried that it wouldn’t work but it did I making you a little video on how I did it and the most important thing is to make sure that the table height is about a quarter inch or at least level with the cabinet the video will be out tomorrow man check it out thanks for watching

      Yep there is a video call flip top table XCARVE and a cut list video I made fro a subscriber called Xcarve cut list and then obviously the enclosure video that you watched I’ll tell you the enclosure is so important it really keeps all the dust in and all the sound down thanks for watching my videos by the way if you do make this table send me a picture on Instagram I would love to see it

    I’m looking at getting one of these machines. My hold up has been space...until I just watched your flip table and enclosure solution. Now I think I’m gonna pull the trigger and make the purchase. I am so excited!
    I do have a question about the machine on the table. Does it have any negative affect on the machine being stored in a vertical position?

    • @StonerEricson
      @StonerEricson  3 года назад

      For me no not yet

    • @StonerEricson
      @StonerEricson  3 года назад

      There is a humming switch on the front right corner of the machine if you find that out and hangs is fine

    • @StonerEricson
      @StonerEricson  3 года назад

      I’ve had mine vertically for three days looked it up and the access was just great dialed in

    • @StonerEricson
      @StonerEricson  3 года назад

      The one thing I would recommend is building enclosure that I build it keeps the noise down the dust down kind of comes the whole table

    Great build, both this one and the flip cart that you built last week. Just received my X-Carve 1000 and am going to build something similar to your design. Would you be willing to share your cut list, both for your cart and for the enclosure, to give me a "jumping off" point? Would be very much appreciated. Thanks again for some great info and very entertaining videos...and hello from Texas!

    • @StonerEricson
      @StonerEricson  3 года назад

      Definitely I could not find any kind of cut list or measurements on anyone else’s videos I will make a video this week end it’ll be short and just for people like us i’ve only had my ex carve a month and I made a little over 1000 bucks just selling stuff to friends and people I know it’s pretty dang awesome I’m stoked that you got one I can’t stop carving The enclosure I find is imperative he cuts the noise way down and keeps all the dust inside of it I’m so glad that I built that I think if you’re going to do the whole thing definitely build the enclosure Cuz you can still talk around it and it’s not loud at all and keeps all the dust inside

      @@StonerEricson Awesome! I put my X-Carve together this past weekend, and other than verifying that it powers on and all the axis move in the proper direction, I haven't really fired it up yet! Looking forward to using it to enhance my more traditional power tool woodworking and making a few bucks as I ease towards retirement. ;-) Also, I started rewatching your video and noticed the Texas plates on the vehicle...are you near the DFW area?
