I canceled my Patreon last month. They’ve gotten so egregious with the inside jokes or referencing of off camera events. It’s like listening to kids talking with a secret language. Unprofessional and just plain sloppy. Pretty over it.

Jos has literally dumbed down his pod to accommodate everyone except for Parks. The Michael Rubin segment could have been a classic Joe rant. However, he was completely absent until the last few seconds. If Joe was auditioning the staff NONE should get call backs except for Ice (Parks excluded he's cemented) that whole segment was basura!

What’s crazy is, I listened to the most recent ep of R&M today after being tuned out for a while and was really surprised at how well they gave it. Then I realized something about the current form of the JBP, Joe doesn’t have the same control he had before, meaning he didn’t have to fight as hard to steer the ship. With 5 other people in the room, just cause you don’t wanna discuss a topic for real, doesn’t mean they won’t go over your head and talk about it anyway. I realized it doing the last ep of JBP when him and Ice started screaming at each other cause Joe kept stepping on Ice as he was talking.
I imagine pop culture pods are difficult cause there are times where you are going to have speak on topics you just dont care about

They didn’t come in to work to film that episode on a Friday it’s just a convo from earlier that week. That’s some people’s entitlement or FOMO once they found out a Patreon episode dropped. The main JBP has always been the flagship & gives you 6+ hours of content a week for the free. It’s a FREE podcast that has a Patreon component. If we’re being honest 95% of the JBP’s greatest hits are in the free episodes. I pay for Patreon because I enjoy the show & 2 shows a week isn’t enough for me🤷🏾♂️
