- Here is a video on how to scan multiple pages to one PDF file using your home printer and Windows Fax and Scan. I couldn't find a video on how to do this so I created this one. Hope it helps!
Oct. 2023: The exact solution I needed! Thanks, Adam! We just bought a Canon Image Class MF-753cdw all-in-one printer for our small office and cannot resolve issues with scanning multiple pages into a single PDF so this is the perfect solution until we can get support from Canon.
It would be helpful if you showed how to scan multiple pages into a single document using the flatbed on the scanner.
Just change from scanner to flatbed
I have the solution for the flatbed. Scan the individual pages and convert each to a PDF. Install the Free App PDF Merger & Splitter. Upload the PDF pages to the App and Merge. It took me hours to figure out this solution and it is now simple to do.
I agree. This only works if the scanner has a feeder! If you select the flatbed option it will create a new file for every page. Not only that but you have to go through the process of selecting the scanner and changing from the default settings for every new page.
@@gharthboloisthename4305 Doesn't help much. See my comment.
@@geoffreybarrow8935 Yes, he supposed to show how to scan multiple pages in one pdf!
Thank you so much! This worked perfectly. Four years later your video is still helping others :)
Wow, I have been searching on all these HP support pages but only received the answer through your video. Thank you so much!!
100% sure this video deserves more thumbs up!
Life saver, litterly no other videos showing how to do this
Thank u so much! I'm 68 never knew how to scan. Our mortgage co needed several documents. I scanned them to him because of ur fantastic video!
Oh my goodness! Why didn't I search for this sooner. Thanks so much!!!
This video saved my job, thank you ❤
Thanks you have saved me a lot of time and $$$. Very much appreciated.
The method shown only works if you have multiple pages that can be fed. How do you do this if each page has to be laid on the flatbed?
R. Leonard Vance if you have each of the images saved, even as jpgs, select them all at once and select to print as shown in the video and you should have each image in its own page
@@jesssterling1449 When I select more than one (all TIF) the print becomes disabled.
@@MultiMach4 same problem, have you found a solution?
It won't work with a flatbed. Windows fax and scan needs to scan all pages at once for this to work. And for some scanners this even flips your documents into landscape orientation. This method only works with some higher end office scanners.
Awesome. I upgraded to Windows 11 and lost my ability to scan multiple pages into one, until now! Thanks!
I forgot how to do this, so thanks! Now I have a Word doc with instructions.
Oh my goodness this video was so easy to understand and to the point ,thank you soo much
worked as described..Thanks Adam
Thank you. You made my job a little easier.
omg! such a big help.Thanks! :x
SUPER HELPFUL...THANKS SO MUCH...YOU ARE THE BEST....VERY WELL EXPLEINED
Thank you, this is very helpful for me
With a normal printer, that can only scan 1 paper at a time, how can you save numerous amounts of scanned paper into 1 PDF file?
Good question
Not fast, but my solution...
- Scan each page and save (name each scan by it's page number) as an image
- Open a Word doc (probably would work with google docs too)
- Adjust the margins to "0"
- Use Insert Image to put one scan on each page
- Save as PDF
Windows Fax and Scan really needs an upgrade!
You will have to do it using the feeder on your scanner, but some brands comes with built in software that allows you to do this. My feeder is messed up and that's the only reason why i am not able to do it after watching this tutorial.
@@lesliea876 THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! This turned out to be the simplest & quickest way for me to get the job done. I was able to highlight all jpg images at once & insert in one go, all perfectly set out on the pages. Saved as PDF, done!
@@lesliea876 You are a genius! A million thanks!!!!
Thank you. Seemed like it should have been simple but I couldn't figure it out!
This worked for me. Thank you for posting video!
Very helpful. It worked
This was awesome. Thank you😊
straight to the point, thanks it worked
Thank you. Very helpful.
Thank you, this worked for me !
When using a flatbed, put all scan files into the same folder. Change the names of each scan as to place them in the order you desire for the pdf file. When you go to the containing folder and open the files in Windows Photo Viewer, you are on track with this video directions.
I have the solution for flatbeds. Scan each document individually and convert each to a PDF. Install the Free App PDF Merger & Splitter. Upload the PDF pages to the App and select Merge. I spent hours searching for a solution and this app makes it simple.
Scanning to TIFF and then converting it to a PDF isn't the same as scanning to PDF. Do you have a method to do this in one step, as in having PDF as a file type option within Print and Scan?
This video helped me out. Thank you!
Thanks Adam....made it easy!
Thank you ! This worked just fine for me.
Very helpful, great
Thank you very much!
Thanks, you made this so easy.
Thank you!!! Saved me 3 hours!!
Thank you very much. Well explained.
This only works if the scanner has a feeder! If you select the flatbed option it will create a new file for every page. Not only that but you have to go through the process of selecting the scanner and changing from the default settings for every new page.
It may be time consuming, but it does work with the flatbed.
Thank you, now I know how to multi-scan pages "documents".
Thank you so much.
Amazing! Thank you 🙏🏾
Really a big help! Saved me hours of doing individual scanning on flatbed
i only have the option flatbed
thanks worked wonderful
Thank you bro..
Wonderful!!! Thank you
Thank you so much. I did not have TIF selected.
Thank you. Who would have known that by putting them on tif then printing to pdf the problem is solved. Not me.
Thank you!! This is exactly what I was looking for!!
Super helpful. Thanks for the answer to the feedless printer issue.
so helpful thanks
thanks for the info
my printer source is FLATBED. Anyone can do a video on how to scan multiplies pages into one pdf file pls ?
did you find the solution I am struggling with the same problem
@@siyamthandavilakazi9216 use the included scanner software, dont use windows scan software
@@Cyanide01995 thank you so much, i'll try doing that
@@Cyanide01995 My HP software is now useless as it uses Adobe Flash, which is no longer supported.
Do you have a scanner that can scan a paper from both sides? otherwise this isn't possible for a one sided scanner
Flatbed can scan both sides.
Good effort on the review, however you need to show how to file your scan documents into order into windows. So you can easily find your documents, like Tax receipts and important documents etc.
I dont have the feeder option on the source. How do i get the feeder option? Thanks
I followed the helpful instructions, but sadly it only scanned one page (via my feeder) at a time which totally defeated the purpose. Windows Fax and Scan is not serving me well, though this video was very helpful. Thank you.
I dont have the Microsoft mt pdf ?!!!
Nice if you have a feeder, but poor if you have only a flatbed scanner. Did not work for me with flatbed scanner.
I think 99% of people came here to know how to scan multiple pages on a flatbed style scanner into 1 PDF...
Does not work when using the flat bed. Puts into two different files.
I don't have the 'feeder' option, only flatbed. Can you help with that?
I have a Windows 10 laptop which doesn't support Windows Photo Viewer. I understand the Windows Photo App does the same thing. Is this your experience?
After scanning the files, go to the folder the files are in. Then highlight the desired files, right click on the first highlighted file, and press print. The you are in step with the video.
You don't need Photo Viewer in Win10.
Why are the sheets in horizontal?
that's a joke all pages are sideways like you said and there is no way to fix it ...
When I go to profile to select documents it says windows can’t load your skin profile your profile settings might not be compatible with the scanner windows will scan using the default settings I have an HP envy 5640 printer
THANK YOU. THANK YOU.
Missing INfo: the pdf is upside down. How to correct?
File would not open after scanning
My computer does not have Microsoft to print . There’s no other way ?
THANK YOU !!!!
How to manually add another page?
🤔😫😩Totally did not work for me. I have a flatbed scanner
how do you scan 4 pages into 1 file BUT NOT USE THE FEEDER... The operator places each page on the glass, one at a time.
Thanks
Doesn't work, the multi-page document always flips to landscape by default and only works if you have an auto-document-feeder on your scanner. This video misses a lot of details.
How do I add the file type to be PDF?
It didn't scan both sides of the page, and it was set on two sided
will it scan multiple if i only have flatbed?
I can't choose by the point "source" between flattbed and feeder. I have only flattbed and so it doesnt work
Presumably you have a flatbed. It is a little more time consuming, but can be done with a flatbed.
I transfer your soul now to the Stone age time period. Let it be
Thank you.
Hi, could you pleas help me to fix my scanner problem? A problem prevented the doaument from being scanned. Please try again, or for troubleshooting information, see Help and Support or the information that came with the scanner.
Shame this no longer works. Windows only allows single scanned documents to PDF. :(
How about multipe pages ( on differen files) this is on ONE file
how do you make it so its not saves lanscaped?
Click on the Options link (lower right-hand side of the window). In the Print Settings window that appears, select Printer Properties... In the Microsoft Print to PDF Document Properties window, select the desired final orientation (Portrait or Landscape) in the dropdown menu.
Even though I selected all three pages, this method only saved the first page, unfortunately...
The short and quick version i just used :
1. Scan the files if necessary
2. Downmoad or print or export to PDF
When you have all the files in pdf, combine them in to one pdf
3. To combine >>>>> ruclips.net/video/2Xam5ra3R_s/видео.html
Thank me later.
Please send written instructions.
how does it work if scanned from flatbead?
Clear and concise. Thanks!
Not helpful... did NOT tell how to get scanner to do more than 1 page
how to scan two pages to a one page PDF is a better description.
does not work on windows 11
i dont have windows photo viewer, can you explain another way?
Photo Viewer is not needed. When you have the files in a folder, highlight the desired files, right click on the first highlighted file, and select print.
Doesn't show how to scan multiple pages
Today I get decad solutions
You cut the top of all your documents off!
How to scan 2mb thank you
I don't have the option to save as a pdf file
how do i get that to appear on the drop down bar when selecting printer
Install dopdf
Like so many "demonstration" videos I have watched, you move too quickly - assuming that everyone already knows where to find the various options. Good instruction is done is a methodical, step by step process. I appreciate that you have created this video; however, it would be much more helpful if you did it as if you had never done it before.
