Executive assistant (pros & cons) 1,con- people are gonna talk down to you 2,con-everyone will tell you what to do 3,con-people will try and take advantage of you (treated poorly){in certain cases you can say no} 4,con-there is a big work flow and little growth 5,con-high stress 6,pro- work hours are stable 7,pro -it's a salary job(depends on the company){doesn’t go by the hour} 8.pro -always learning 9.pro-you get to know everyone in the company 10.you are kept in the know of your company (you will know more)
Have you ever thought of being a personal EA to a multi-billionaire who would treat you as the special person you are? Billionaires are looking for top notch intelligent people to manage their properties, vehicles, meetings, problems, service appointments, etc. Pay would be twice what you are currently making, plus a luxury car / suv, and possibly a place of residence if you become someone they can't survive without.
Oh that’s great!!! I had that with my first boss at the company that I’m with (he left😭) but I don’t have a good relationship with my most recent boss and it makes it sooooo tough
@@sarahfostmisc thank you so much 🙏🏼 can I ask you what would you recommend for me to start learning in preparation for an Admin job?, I live in FL and it’s been a bit hard to find any entry level Admin jobs.
Hi Sarah. I’ve been a Management Assistant in an engineering department for 1 year and a half. I can agree with everything you are saying!! They treat me very well and I’m never spoken down to. Thank goodness for that. Your job duties sound like my job duties. By the end of the week I am stressed out. Thank you for this video
Hello Sarah, thanks for sharing as it really means a lot to meee and yeah wish me luck as I'll have my interview with CFO (Chief Financial Officer) soon and yeah lookin' forward into this position, once again thanks much Sarah✨
Hello Sarah, amazing video, thanks for the openness, however, the cons are true in many cases but I still believe they can be reduced by the "self-development" work we put in. I currently occupy this role and what has worked for me is by truly understanding my position and building myself in that same light. So without being pompous or full of pride to the fact that you are privy to sensitive information, which of course gives you an edge over other staff, it's important to know that you are way up there, keep your priorities straight and well defined, be totally respectful to everyone but let your best regard be to who you work directly with. That's your primary place of assignment and you owe a higher degree of your service commitments there. This would help you focus better, indirectly configure the perception of others about you and you will be accorded a higher regard. You can be seen as the CEO or Executive Director and that will totally make a difference! I hope this helps someone❤️
You are so beautiful and you seem to have such a sweet spirit and lovely speaking voice! Thank you for sharing. I highly recommend looking into being an EA in universities, it may be a nicer experience/ slower environment. God bless you and your growing family!
I would love to chat with you about a potential affiliate arrangement. Your video and type of content looks like it aligns well with our brand (we help people pursue new careers). Let me know a good way to get in touch and discuss the details. Great video!
Another con would be the lack of career advancement. Being an EA is kind of a dead-end role and the work can be super overwhelming and underpaying considering all the work that you have to do. I worked as an EA for two years during college and the experience made me never want to go back again.
I would say that at least in the healthcare systems I've worked for, in order to apply for an EA position you must have a master's degree or a bachelor's and 10+ years of experience.
Haha you're so pretty and positive. Thank you for the video. It was pleasant, crisp and informative. May success and prosperity attend you always. Regards from India.
It definitely varies on where you are. More than anything, I’d try and negotiate being salary vs hourly. Makes life a bit easier when you don’t have to punch a clock and can have a bit mor stability!
Hello! I am considering becoming an EA. You said no college degree was needed. Just experience… are any certifications needed? What all do I need to know? If you already have this video I’m sorry. Thank you!!
Hi there! I don’t have an advanced degree or any certs, my background is in hospitality management. I capitalized on my management and organizational skills! How you interview is key as well, so practice practice practice!
@@sarahfostmisc I already have a guaranteed job. And was told certain requirements but wanted to know from someone who has experience with that title what I should know. Do you need a lot of computer skills? Thank you!
