You have officially earned your "Tie-Dye Master" badge today! I agree with you and everyone else that this is absolutely fantastic. I see both butterflies and fairies.
Gorgeous. Bougainvillea is one of my favorite flowers. I have it growing up over my porch. I lost a bit of it to the extreme sumner heat. I hope it returns. It’s a gorgeous color. More like hot hibiscus.
I hope you don't mind, but for the first attempt, just buy one of the kits at the store. The tulip dye brand. It comes with almost everything you need except soda ash, but a lot of times, it's sold right with them at walmart. The dye doesn't split like fancier dye but for the first few attempts and learning how the cheaper kits are fun. Just really saturate your shirt with the dye. I grab the kits in the clearance section quite often to use with my grandkiddos. Once you figure out what you like, then move on to investing money into better dye. I'm just an old hippy from the 60s lol
@@Emeraldwitch30 nah, I will never use tulip brand. Been dyeing over a yr now. Thanks for the advice though. I went in for over $200 worth of dyes from dharma and also grateful dyes when started. I love the colors that split except when liquid dyeing.
I learn something new from you every time I watch one of your videos. They make me so happy! You truly give us the motivation to do our best! Your art is the reason I started dyeing. Thank you!🥰
Thank you so very much, Linda!! Your generous donation will go back into more dye materials so I can continue teaching!! I would love to see your results. Join our group if you haven’t already!! 😄♥️🌈 facebook.com/groups/1808680025961779/?ref=share_group_link
This is for most the best diamond design you’ve done yet I really love this one and you know who else would too thanks so much for all the inspiration and I’ll be starting soon take care❤️😁✌️
Yes, WOW, spectacular! LOVE the colors AND fold. Your meticulous attention to details really pays off just add you said! The color combination is fantastic! Those colors split, outstanding! Yes, super cool! 😎 Thanks!!!
Can you tell me what kind of lines you drew on the shirt? Placement etc? I tried this shirt, but i didn’t end up with this pattern. I know i need to be lighter-handed with the dye. I'm just trying to check on some details before i try again. Thanks so much. Love this pattern!!
I used washable marker to draw the lines. If you followed this tutorial step by step you should have ended up really close. Things to pay attention to is sleeve orientation. We’re yours on the left side of the table like mine? Did you draw the line diagonally from the underarm on the left up to the right creating a diamond in the center? Did you draw the line the opposite direction and end up with a X pattern instead? It’s hard to know here since you can’t show me. If you join the Facebook group you can share photos and we can help diagnose the situation. Whatever you ended up with I bet it turned out beautiful. ♥️🌈 facebook.com/groups/1808680025961779/?ref=share_group_link
💕💜💙 I love, love, love these colors! Thanks for sharing your palette and techniques! I definitely will look into ordering these, I do not have any of them! 🌈🫶🏼😉Laura
They are available on Dharma’s website. “Special order procion dye” you buy 5lbs. If you go to “Tie Dye Supplies Marketplace” on Facebook you can buy smaller quantities. The link is in the description box.
All of that information is in the video. I show and explain it all in detail. Also, in the description box of each tutorial has clickable links to what I use. I hope this helps. ❤️🌈
Agree about being sloppy. I love Carl McClellan very much; he's a super kind, nice, helpful man, but his techniques are not very precise, in either folding or application. For new dyers, this is so important to making better quality stuff, so thank you for your helpful tutorials. No hate to Mr. Tie Dye at all, I appreciate him, too.
So you're not rinsing out the soda ash? That's kind of tricky because soda ash is SO harsh on bare hands and I can't wear gloves for folding and sinew tying. Seriously when soda ash comes in contact with my hands (and almost always somehow does despite glove wearing), my hands are truly painful and develop tiny black slivers all throughout my fingers.
Soda ash serves a purpose so you wouldn’t want to rinse it out before you add dye. It sounds like you are allergic to soda ash so you may have to figure out how you might use gloves even though you don’t find them comfortable.
Beautiful pattern and colors.
This is a beautiful shirt and a really easy pattern to do. It looks great in all kinds of color palettes. ♥️🌈
Absolutely beautiful!
Thank you so much! ♥️🌈
Really beautiful work!!!

Hi Stephanie, this came out really beautiful, I am going to have to try it, good job.
Thanks so much! I look forward to seeing your results. ❤️🌈
It’s beautiful! So why do you use the rack as opposed to the rain gutter?
Thank you for sharing this

Wow!! That is absolutely gorgeous!!! What a beautiful pattern and pretty color combination!! Love it! ❤️
Wow! That is spectacular! I have to try this. Gorgeous color choice too. You and I are drawn to the same color pallet. I absolutely LOVE this!

Can this be done with liquid dye or no way? Thats all I have and im in LOVE with your design!!
It can be done with liquid. It will look different. Liquid dye gives a more solid look. ❤️🌈
Another killer! Here's a question... you do so many washes for each shirt... how many shirts are you washing in each cycle? THAAAAAAAAAAANKS!
💕💜💙 I love, love, love these colors! Thanks for sharing your palette and techniques! I definitely will look into ordering these, I do not have any of them!

I’ve re-watched again and see that they are special order dies, can I ask where are they from? I did not see them on Dharma’s website. TY!

I've always wondered why it isn't called a 'decline' method since the ice/water goes down? Excited to see how it turns out. I like this fold.
it's probably referencing the common geometry term, inclined plane.
Wow, this is gorgeous! Can you tell me where you got the dyes, I’m not familiar with the colors you used but they are beautiful
Thank you. ❤️🌈 ruclips.net/video/nrxUux9cG9k/видео.html

Making this shirt right now, different pallet.

Nice 😊

I have tried several times to hear what shirt you used. I can't understand what you said. I followed your link but no luck.
This is a Gildan shirt from jiffyshirts.com ♥️🌈
