ABOUT THE GOOD PLACE
From creator Michael Schur (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “Parks and Recreation” and “Master of None”) comes a unique comedy about what makes a good person. The show follows Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell, “House of Lies,” “Veronica Mars”), an ordinary woman who enters the afterlife, and thanks to some kind of error, is sent to the Good Place instead of the Bad Place (which is definitely where she belongs). While hiding in plain sight from Good Place Architect Michael (Ted Danson - “Cheers,” “CSI” - in an Emmy Award-nominated performance), she’s determined to shed her old way of living and earn her spot.

I mean, the Judge had all the right to be angry and mean to them. They literally defiled her rule, stole the key to earth and tried to pretend the communication was breaking up which is impossible since it's a magical key. Plus she can see them. XD

Well... In the last conversation with the Judge Janet said that she would be marvelized (I think) and Michael retired so it wasn't that much sacrifice xD
Being marbleized (crushed into a marble) and retired to the eternal shriek doesn't sound like a very enjoyable experience :P
NoraTusket well they are only in that situation because they've been helping the humans too much. If they had let the humans fend for themselves they'd be safe.

I still think that, as Chidi probably suffers from anxiety, that anyone with a mental condition should be taken into consideration and, so long as it didn't lead them to commit a major crime like mass murder, should go to a medium place.
mr hippo god because they were all raised to be bad people. Eleanor had terrible parents, Jason got involved in gangs and couldn't stop, Tahani was raised to think she was inferior to her sister and Chidi… ok nothing really influenced him, but he was always good intentioned and could easily be changed into an ethically good person. That's why Micheal gave them a "push in the right direction"

The Judge talked about her age being the Age of Universe. Both the Good Place and the Bad Place have their instituonal organizations. The characters also talk about (Darwinian) evolution as the process for the appearance of intelligent life and mention the risk of Shawn eventually staging a coup. Ultimately, who is in charge and who put it all this system together? Is there anything equivalent to God or gods in this reality?

Janet in season 4 states that she knows everything in the universe except what happens after a human walks through the final door. That being established, why doesn't she know all the accounting stuff?
she was in the human world, her powers stopped working
I do have a theory, Janets need to gather information, they do not automatically have it and she is restricted towards the authorities above her, this means that she may not have access to all knowledge unless it is granted.
She can know everything about the human world cause no one can prevent her to gather that information, but she was tricked into believing she was in the good place cause Michael (the authority above her) give her that info. Same reason she knew information about the bad and middle place. Cause Michael can grant her access to that info.
But since she can not gather info about the good place, neither the accounting system, that's why she doesn't know about it.
