I have been following you for a short time but can I just say that you are truly an entertainer?! I loved your music back in the day but even more than that I love your story-telling ability. Such a beautiful home, and it was so pretty the way you had decorated it. It's such a shame you didn't like Mexico. I wish you could pick up the home and drop it right down in an oceanfront lot somewhere in the US.
Yes, it was a pretty house, but it was lipstick on a pig 💋 🐷 They don’t know how to build, there is no such thing as building inspections or permits when they build houses
so what you guys didn’t see all the problems that I had to sort out as a tenant there houses there cry all the time and that what they call it because the houses leak, so much and that was only part of it and me not liking Mexico isn’t the only reason why I did not renew my lease, but I will update you guys on all of that very shortly.
OMG! A poorly built house but the landlord is crying about some leaves on the roof 🙄🙄. I would have cussed him out!
Girl, press 2 , press 9, all of that! Mexico wanted to whoop your butt before leaving for sure! So many have some of the same issues and make it seems like it’s all gravy. The honesty is refreshing and much needed. People think we are crazy for expressing these truths! Smooth sailing from here, claiming it for you!!

Keeping the deposit is very common in MX.
I am in Quintana Roo and I take from it what I can. The simple life, the beach, the nature, the beauty. But it tests my patience.
I go back and forth between here and the states and I enjoy being able to appreciate what both have to offer.
Many times we idealize one and devalue the other. Being in MX makes me appreciate the little things I take for granted in the US. Being in the US makes me appreciate the simplicity of MX.

And yes, I realize that me showing what I’m going through is helping others even those who are not moving out of the country or have any similar issues. I hate you are going through so much. I personally love Mexico and my experience and many Expats here have been Wonderful and so many are moving here. I will personally never moved back to the States the BS there is ten times worse. I wish you well on your journey back to the US BS 🙏🏽
Thank you and it’s just not for everybody. I realize that my personality does not mesh well with the personality most there and of how the country is run.
I am so sorry things have been such a headache for you. 😟 Living in some countries is not for the faint of heart I have lived abroad and I try to warn people that things aren't always as they are presented on social media, but many don't want to hear what they don't want to hear. I have visited Mexico, and I know how things are there. I could never live there.
Don't regret your time in Merida. You did have some good experiences, and hopefully, one day, you will laugh about the fiasco. Sending prayers and good vibes your way!

I'm so mad about your landlord and the deposit. You did your thing with making it more appealing to whomever rents later. They are wrong. I left in May with nothing wrong with my apartment, and I didn't get my deposit back either. Smh I wish you the best in your new city and can't wait for the update and good news because you deserve some joy and happiness after all of that.

Thanks but It’s like I said to somebody else in the comments that house was nice, but it was lipstick on a pig just FYI, there are no such thing as building inspections or permits that have to get pulled when they build houses there so a lot of the houses have foundation issues they leak Things fall off fall apart I could go on and on y’all only saw the beauty. Trust me I spared draw all of the behind-the-scenes. I did talk about how everything was Crooked and how difficult it was to hang anything on a wall but toilets that don’t flush properly, calcium, and salt that buildup in your faucets every week so looks can be deceiving.
@@LESHAUNWILL I get it. I traveled throughput Mexico for some months a few years ago. I actually didn’t care for Merida and I’ve heard of people particularly in Merida having those small or similar issues. I was still considering it, glad that I didn’t.
10mins in and I'm feeling your pain.
A restaurant in Dubai did the same thing to me. Claimed the charge didn't go through asked to swipe my card again.
I didn't bother returning to the restaurant, I simply disputed it with my credit card company.
They reversed the charge.
I would go there weekly to eat but this time I felt like the owner or employee did some intentional slick shyt...so I vowed to never return.
Yeah I headed the taxi drivers run scams on your cards too. Be careful

They would be replacing my bag ASAP. Someone would be doing some shopping.

Mexico didn't want to let you go cause you were going in the wrong direction and you were leaving too early. You should have waited until you could have hung out with me in Belize. Hun, sorry to say, but some of the issues that you are having are on you. Couple of examples ... I never use a credit card in MX ... the mall is always more expensive than it should be. That's every mall in the world! ... I purchased a large backpack on wheels from a MX Walmart for around $20. Years later, I still use it for travel.
Take a deep breath. don't give up on MX or, find another country that better suits your lifestyle. Good Luck!
Hey Hon… The size backpack that I was looking for I could not find anywhere else, and I even asked my concierge who is local and what we found where we found. It was the best solution. Also what you do and how you live is going to differ from how I live and do things I had a Mexican account, but I had also removed all of the money from that account so I couldn’t use that card. You have to understand sometimes the circumstances are not as ideal, as you might think. And I never said that this wasn’t a hole that I dug on my own but also keep in mind that my issues with Mexico isn’t the only reason why I left so make sure you are subscribed to the channel so you don’t miss everything because the one thing that is irritating is when people jump to conclusions Without knowing all of the facts. But I can guarantee you this… I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO MEXICO!

I bought a vintage Louis Vuitton duffle from an estate that was over 40 yrs old n EXCELLENT condition. Shoved a bunch of stuff n there...my fault. I get 2 TSA n STL & they have me go over 2 an agent 2 go thru my bag. I insist on opening the bag myself 2 avoid ripping the fabric around the zipper. The TSA agent goes & rough handles the zipper & rips my bag. I was pissed. She moves me along like no big deal. The cost 2 get the bag repaired @ LV is insane. I may just get it done @ a cobbler. 🤦🏿♂😔
