After seeing that you reacted to an entire episode of All in the Family, I'd like to recommend you do the same for Golden Girls, and that the episode you react to be "Twas the Nightmare Before Christmas" (yes, Golden Girls had that title before Tim Burton made it cool).
I think the reason they were so relatable was because there were 4 of them, and in a lot of ways each of us has some aspect of all 4 of those personalities at any given time. Most people are rarely the same to each other....Like one person might think I'm one of the nicest people you will ever meet (and I try to be)...But somebody else might tell you I'm a total raving b***h, and I can be that too...And there were 4 roommates with 4 very different personalities to represent to a great degree the different sides to just about anybody's personality on any given day.
Ty, the scenes with Bea Arthur singing reminded me of her duet with Lucille Ball in the 1974 musical "Mame." Here's the 4-minute clip of "Bosom Buddies." :-) She was in her early 50s in 1974 and had already appeared in her sitcom "Maude" for a couple years when the film came out. But she looks younger with the dark wig. ruclips.net/video/8a6v29kZ3LU/видео.html
She played that role on Broadway for a long time before the movie too, with Angela Lansbury playing Mame. Angela and Bea became besties during that time.
There were a number of references you probably didn't understand due to a generational divide. Hop-sing was one. How many of you are old enough to remember him?
Nope. Never even heard of him. I just looked it up... I know that my dad watched Bonanza. I watched with him, but I don't clearly remember even one episode.
Everyone used to make fun of me for watching "old s**t" and now it's trending. I'm just a fan of good humor. I Love Lucy, Everybody Loves Raymond, etc.
A few days ago I realized I've really missed out on the videos other than the reactions. Back in the day there were some REAL comedians. Al Bundy is a hoot but I especially love the golden girls. I wonder if folks realize we get our humor from Almighty God himself. I'll bet many don't. 🙃. (sense of humor).
Have you seen Everybody loves Raymond? Golden girls is such a good show. The relationship between Sophia and Dorthy is so funny. Because they are so much alike. You should see the one where Dorthy tries to kill her. I forget the name of it but it is in season 7. By the way you can see every episode of the Golden Girls on Dailymotion. I go to Google and type Golden Girls episodes. Then it will list every season and you go to the season you want and then it lists every episode from that season. Go to the one you want. Let say I chose Golden Girls season 3 episode 3 for example. I would go back to Google and write. Golden Girls season 3 episode 3 on Dailymotion. Click on it and watch it.
Awesome. I like to watch clips of shows when I am working. Because I can't watch whole shows unless it is my lunch break. Raymond, Perfect Strangers, Reba And Malcolm in the Middle are my favorite shows with Golden Girls.
@@handlerikme - Agreed. It's funny how people post something like that without doing the proper research. It was said that Bea notice a small change in Estelle having a hard time memorizing her lines and needed cue cards, but it was nothing to extreme. Estelle also did a few cameo's as Sophia in a few TV shows just after Golden Girls ended. And she continued to work here and there after. Then her mental health started to decline in the early 2000's.
@@handlerikme Rachael is right, if you watched their interviews it was way before. Bea had noticed it when The Golden Girls were still going on and also Rue. Her character never changed to me, but they did say they would have to stop occasically so Estelle could get her lines correct.
(Dorothy):
"I lost my first husband in a tar pit. Excuse me." 😂🤣
People said the quality dropped as the show progressed but I felt we got more insight into the characters the longer the show went on
Yeah I agree with you there idiots because I love the Golden girls from day one it was really sad when they decided not to have the show anymore
Sophia: "Sometimes, mother's and daughter, drift apart. Dorothy and I did."
Dorothy: "I put her away." 😂 Sophia: "She sure did." 🤣
It still amazes me how fresh this show is even after all these years, brilliant writing. This had me laughing along with you Ty. Keep em coming💕
Rose was low-key savage. And I loved the relationship btwn Dorothy and Sophia.
Hilarious! 😂 That's Leslie Neilsen wearing the crab bib 😊 love your laugh MRM 💚 and what a beautiful smile 😀
So darn funny! Thank you so much for posting these. That show is a classic. I watch the re runs.
My grandma used to love this show when I was a kid

"Ingrid Bergman had Paris . . ." hey! I just finished watching Casablanca! What a coincidence!
I LOVE Ingrid Bergman!
After the pause, Dorothy was in her zone after being on Broadway.

We don't deserve Bea Arthur's singing voice! She's too good for us!

I'll never forget how bad I felt for Hop Sing when that bully cut his ponytail off. He was so humiliated
It's not good video quality, but check out the Golden Girls bloopers. ruclips.net/video/znZm8BCj9Zg/видео.html
I wish I could whistle as you did. That was cool. 😁
Okay good.. On to some other classic comedy.. Funniest scenes from Blazing Saddles.. Airplane.. Young Frankenstein.. The Munsters
You might try this one. Another good Sophia compilation: ruclips.net/video/jvo6blFyPrw/видео.html
Leslie Nielsen was so great
You should react to more of blanches best moments, she’s my absolute favorite.
I love Bea Arthur (Dorothy) most. They're all awesome! The quality of their work was perfect. Very rare.
Vanja LaVoie I know, the chemistry between them made the show even better! Hope to see more reactions of the golden girls soon!

Bee can really sing
There are so many things that won't make sense to you... So much missing...
Like the paper boy says.

I have all the seasons of ELR

Al Bundy. Lol!!
I just want to do one thing only... I really wish to do so...
Check out 'Wandy on the Dating Game' with Jim Carrey hilarious.
How about Day by day from the movie Godspell.. Religious flavor with some light gospel chorus.. Early '70s maybe 73
You should watch Cheers with Ted Danson that scene takes place in a bar. It's a real mess.
Yes thank you 🙏 ❤️
😂😂😂
These are from the two last seasons of the show. Sadly, Estelle Getty's memory was going at the time which is why her character changed a bit.
I'm sorry but that's not true. After the show ended she did The Golden Palace and her dementia didn't start till 2002
