I can't believe Dorothy got it backwards. If Dirk were five dog years younger than Blanche, he'd be less than a year younger than her. (1 human year = 7 dog years). But people are still cracking up over that line like it's the best burn of the series. It was a FAIL, people! And from the supposedly smart character, too. How'd no one catch this mistake in the script before it wound up in the show?

The joke was set up correctly. He'd be a lot younger in dog years and plus Blanche lies about her age so the emphasis is on that.
