Oh that is so wonderful! :) In the documentary "Surviving Gilligan's Island " Bob Denver said she was 91 when she died in 1991, though Wikipedia says 90. Nonetheless she was 88 here. :)
Natalie was actually much older than she admitted to at the time of the filming of the program. She also had her own beauty regimen, and it must have worked! I wonder if she ever shared it with anyone?
Bob Denver was to nice to say it here, but it was HE who was responsible for getting credit for "the professor and Mary Ann" in the title song. He demanded their inclusion in the opening song.

IDK, if you only have around 20 years of school/growing up and another 20 years (at the back end) for retirement, that means you have to work for a living for 260 years! I don't even want to think about that...
Lost Mary Anne, Dawn Wells, today. Sad. Of the talented main cast, only the actress that portrayed Ginger remains with us. Bob Denver, Gilligan, 1935 to 2005 Alan Hale Jr., Skipper 1921 to 1990 Tina Louise, Ginger 1934- present Dawn Wells, Dawn Wells 1938 to 2020 Russel Johnson, The Professor 1924 - 2014 Jim Backus, The Millionaire 1913-1989 Natalie Schafer, Lovely Howell 1900 to 1991
Alan Hale Jr was very proud of his role, and heard that even while he was in the hospital, he would visit other patients, to help them feel better. A gentle soul, he was.
Bob said it was 1988 early in the show. What a Great cast this was. I miss the good old days as a child watching great wholesome fun shows that were on. None better than Sherwood Schwartz Gilligans Island. Rest In Peace to those who have left us.
Wow they all looked very good for the number of years that went by! I wasn't too big into Ginger as I was with MaryAnn...I thought MaryAnn could have been your typical "girl next door" type. Alan Hale was a very happy bubbly guy during this reunion. Just the two girls left now. May the rest of the cast aways RIP and thank you all for the many laughs!
Alan Hale played on an epidode of Andy Griffith. He played a farmer named Jeff who came to town to find a wife. He had his eyes on Thelma Lou, but Barney wasn't having it. Lol.
During the show’s entire first run I was in the Far East, courtesy of Uncle Sam. When I got home and saw tv again I would relax and watch Gilligan’s Island and Star Trek on late at night. I never saw either except as re-runs, but to this day they’re still high on my list of favorites. If they still made shows this good I might not have given up television about a quarter century ago. I might even own a TV set.
1 of my favorite shows. This was awesome seeing all of them together again. Its amazing how doing 1 TV show can make u an iconic superstar Legend. Bob Denver and Allan Hale were also in my other favorite show: the Andy Griffith show. I think Bob played Dud wash, Charlene darlings husband and Allan played Jeff pruit. Sherwood Schwartz was a genius. He went right from Gilligan's Island to The Brady Bunch. Another TV show I still watch to this very day
You can tell Tina still had a chip on her shoulder. The only reason she showed up was to promote her film. It was because of her that the first season had "And the rest". She wanted to have the final credit. Before the next season, Bob Denver said if he had to, he would move down in the order as long as Russel and Dawn got the credit they deserved.
@@graphiquejack From an interview/documentary I saw, I think Tina just insisted on HER getting credit for herself and not necessarily making her coworkers 'and the rest'.
@Light in the Piazza He wrote in his 1993 book about an alleged incidence regarding Tina in which he overheard her having sex in her dressing room next to his. Tina went to the publisher of the book and demanded it be taken out. She even refuted that such an act would have occurred and right before she was needed for filming. So Denver is not a total innocent.
The show didn't take itself seriously. It didn't expect the audience to take it seriously. And it didn't have a lot of competition. Simple entertainment.
Dawn Wells looks the same even til today, she was my favourite of the 2 but they were all great in their roles. Funny that the show almost didn't make it but now it's a classic & beyond. Sad that all are gone except for Marianne & Ginger. Poor Jim, an actor from way back well before Gilligan's Island. Most of these actors starred in great movies & shows before. They could never remake it , it would never be the same. I loved the episode where Gilligan found the radioactive vegetables & they all had side-effects, it was hilarious. Never make shows like this anymore.
Women (and men for that matter) aren't like "fine wine" and don't look "better with age", that's bull. I agree that Dawn Wells is still an attractive older woman.
Wait until you see her in this tv flick walk into the hut wearing a red robe to speak with "Ginger" and "Mr. Cunningham." She knows how to wear a robe. Oh my! ruclips.net/video/4xSK6d4lFLs/видео.html
@Spawndude Spawndude Bob Denver's autobiography wasn't as glowing about Tina Louise as his other cast mates and suggested she was humourless and stand-offish. He also told a story about her having sex in her dressing room on set, which she denied.
Mark Blackmore with all due respect President said in a private conversation before he was President and i will quote, " when your rich and famous women will let you grab them by the p...." The operative word is will. Very well educated people voted for President Trump. God bless you
Bob Denver, born Robert Osbourne Denver, (January 9, 1935 - September 2, 2005) was an American comedic actor who portrayed Gilligan on the 1964-1967 television series Gilligan's Island, and beatnik Maynard G. Krebs on the 1959-1963 series The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis.

Backus looks okay, but he does seem a little out of it at times. He suffered from depression at various points in his life, and I don't doubt that it took its toll on him.
Jim Backus was in a really good movie with James Dean called rebel without a cause he was a very very good actor and I really enjoyed watching him on the TV show
Agree. They seemed almost magical together. Amazing what good chemistry can do.
WHO pointed?
so happy to see them all there together for one last time...good memories!
After school 4 pm👌🏽
Goodtimes😅
No, Good Times came on at 3:30. :)
Gilligan came on at 4 pm after school for me too. Great memories!
Learned English from this show and 3s company
Tina Louise and Dawn Wells are the only ones left. I feel so old.
And Tina Louise looks much older than you feel.

When I met Natalie Shaffer in person at a restaurant in L.A. one nite, she was exactly like this, and also invited me to have a drink with her and her date.
Oh that is so wonderful! :) In the documentary "Surviving Gilligan's Island " Bob Denver said she was 91 when she died in 1991, though Wikipedia says 90. Nonetheless she was 88 here. :)
Classy lady!
I liked how skipper was the only one who would look at the camera and shake his head when Gillian did something stupid
That was a abbot thing

Ginger actually did that too, especially in the first season..
Everyone is commenting on how great Dawn Wells looks - and I totally agree - but am I the only one who noticed that Mrs. Howell looks the same ?
Yes. Odd really because she was by far the oldest of the seven and is at least 87 here.
Natalie was actually much older than she admitted to at the time of the filming of the program. She also had her own beauty regimen, and it must have worked! I wonder if she ever shared it with anyone?
Lovey Cravesit?
I still watch Gilligans island to this day
I’m shook, a talk show host actually letting the guests talk. What a radical idea.
Yes, he did a great job. Everyone was at ease. Even Tina Louise.
Bob Denver was to nice to say it here, but it was HE who was responsible for getting credit for "the professor and Mary Ann" in the title song. He demanded their inclusion in the opening song.
Watching during coronavirus...stay safe everyone.
I was 9 when this aired... I grew up watching Gilligan Island reruns. I have never seen or heard of this host but he sure is better that what we have now to choose from
Dawn looks hot!!
Mike Souther... always did. haven't changed
And she was 49 or 50 here!
She should move Norther, Mike.

Russ Hook Here, in this interview.🤦♂️
You know, it's been a bit of a rough day. Kinda just stumbled on this. I feel 100% better, I grew up with these people & it's like seeing old friends again. Skipper & Lovey were the living embodiments of their characters, and were frozen in time. They never aged.
Dam if ur growing up with the show u are always asked are u a Mary Ann or Ginger? Guy the majority of guys would say Mary Ann
Tv use to be so much fun,now its all news, talk shows, reality tv ,,,,,How can it be reality tv if you know theirs a camera in your face ?
Yeah, so-called "reality" TV is garbage, especially if it includes crap like the Kardashians (&/or Jenners)

Bob Denver (Gilligan)

Larry Ovah I watched this show when I was little. Time has went fast!
Hard to believe only Dawn Wells and Tina Louise are left.
Steven Green Yes time has went too fast!
Yeah, they could call "Mary Ann's island" now, since Ginger won't have anything to do with it and everybody else is dead!
The four goofballs singing the theme song were hilarious lol :-)
People are not given much time on this earth. Lifetimes should be at least 300 yrs. They would still be young and maybe playing it today, darn!!!!
IDK, if you only have around 20 years of school/growing up and another 20 years (at the back end) for retirement, that means you have to work for a living for 260 years! I don't even want to think about that...
Dawn always talked so fast good thing she didn't eat them sugar beets.
Lost Mary Anne, Dawn Wells, today. Sad. Of the talented main cast, only the actress that portrayed Ginger remains with us.
Bob Denver, Gilligan, 1935 to 2005
Alan Hale Jr., Skipper 1921 to 1990
Tina Louise, Ginger 1934- present
Dawn Wells, Dawn Wells 1938 to 2020
Russel Johnson, The Professor 1924 - 2014
Jim Backus, The Millionaire 1913-1989
Natalie Schafer, Lovely Howell 1900 to 1991
The Skipper looks SO happy!! Thats great!
Alan Hale Jr was very proud of his role, and heard that even while he was in the hospital, he would visit other patients, to help them feel better. A gentle soul, he was.
A jolly old man.
We all would like to be that happy all the time.
Lionel Richie was my favorite cast member
He died first, didn’t he?
Nice to see all the cast together
Alan Hale really was the Skipper. What great guy!!!!!
THAT great guy!!!!
Bob said it was 1988 early in the show. What a Great cast this was. I miss the good old days as a child watching great wholesome fun shows that were on. None better than Sherwood Schwartz Gilligans Island. Rest In Peace to those who have left us.
I love this show but I don't miss those days because I was abused as a child I escaped and to Gilligan's Island

It was in Black and White 2
Also in the Notes under the vid it says 1988 (and the host was Ross Shafer...who?)

Lol.

I was six in 1963 when the show came out. The show was always great! This reunion is truly historic. I am glad it is recorded for future generations.
it ran from 64 to 67
Timotheus157 I was born in 64, and this was one of the shows in my childhood I truly enjoyed

Mine was Daisy Duke...hubba hubba!
Another TV show I still watch to this very day
corymartin100, didn’t Bob Denver also play Maynard G. Krebs on “The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis”?
You can tell Tina still had a chip on her shoulder. The only reason she showed up was to promote her film. It was because of her that the first season had "And the rest". She wanted to have the final credit. Before the next season, Bob Denver said if he had to, he would move down in the order as long as Russel and Dawn got the credit they deserved.
I never heard that it was Tina who insisted on 'and the rest'. Is that a rumour or did you hear that from a reputable source?
@@graphiquejack From an interview/documentary I saw, I think Tina just insisted on HER getting credit for herself and not necessarily making her coworkers 'and the rest'.
You are certainly right. I wonder how she feels now since everyone besides maryann has passed away.
It must have been very difficult for someone as talented as Louise was to be so identified with ginger that really she as a person no longer existed.
Super likeable actors on that Island... how TV has changed!!
They were all interesting and charming people who really made those characters fun and iconic. You don't see that as much these days...
PETER JOHN BRANDAL TV has changed drastically! I appreciate the shows we had years ago
PETER JOHN BRANDAL sadly true.
The show didn't take itself seriously. It didn't expect the audience to take it seriously. And it didn't have a lot of competition. Simple entertainment.
They are forever family to those who watched them.
Bless them all, it was great watching them as a kid.
Favorite show growing up. RIP Bob,Alan,Natalie JIm Russell
Mary Anne. WOW !
Oh my!
