Yesterday our cycle club cycled through East Budleigh and met him - he is just amazing - he told us about his conversation with Winston Churchill - we bought some of his home grown fruit and veg - from a huge selection - Frank you really made our day - would like to see more Frank Farr please!!
Absolutely brilliant!! A real Devonian found out about this video from his grandson down the pub on Friday night, even better than he described it. Keep on ferreting Fred you'll get the bugger!!
That was so nice to see ferrieting the old way .none of these pricey trakers collars like you see on most ferrieting vids now and things like that .that was great to watch .all the best
I like this dude :) My godfather is 93 and he too always says - move, do something and don't whine about life. He goes to his veteran meetings regurally, he walks some 2 miles to big market even though he has free retired riding ticket. Never shows any signs of pesimism or slowness in reason. Always eager to come to family meetings etc. Never let your life go away
Gave him a lift from the pub in Otterton to his patch in East Budleigh a month before he died.. He managed to fit in at least 7 stories in a 10 minuet journey.
I go Rabbiting with my air rifle, but he does it the traditional way that its been done for hundreds of years, and ye, lots of respect for Frank, slapping rabbit at back of his neck and saying, "what u think of that" probably nowt cos its dead LMAoO classic, Frank ye a legand in my book fella:) keep up teh good work and keep slapping them rabbits.
I could watch him all day eh ? I'll bet he could tell a story ,and just imagine the changes he saw ! Mostly for the worse i expect (sadly). God Bless him.
I love old people like him proper country folk so true what he said about people taking it easy and then die cos there not doing anything! How clean was that rabbit kill didn't even see it until it was dead never seen anyone break a neck that easy
@danalinesmahoney haha, He's speaking English, but with a Devon Accent. i come from Devon, so it's easy for me, but i guess for other people it's hard. I never really thought about it.
I wonder why ferreting has never been popular in my country .. We have wild ferrets (I mean historically. Nowdays you can buy one as a pet), so logically you could domesticate them. We have hare and rabits. However I have never heard anyone does ferreting.
good old boy, these days, things are changing so fast in Britain what with the mass immigration thats going on, that these old sports and traditions are in decline. were losing our identity as British people. keep on hunting for ever , keep the tradition going for Franks sake
@morgasm657 He could have done either or both, but he didn't, and his freezer is full of game anyway in my opinion! If that bunny received wounds from that hook, it may well have died a long, painful death. Hunters always tell me that the 'prey' dies quickly and humanely....not the always the case! You know that....
i shall remember all my life "keep movin long as you can" thats what i will do im a 13 year old boy in the uk looking into getting a pair of ferrets and i were him i would have chased that group of people watching off with that big hook
@stdavid123 calm down mate! so y did u say i should know i had ferrets? i mean keeping a ferret as a pet if diffrent to working them! so you wont know!
Lmfoa at 2:24 wish he was my grandpa i got ferrets now but i dont have a the license to hunt with them or else i get a fine of €500,- but yeah i give my ferrets wild mouse feeder mouses and if i could i would give them rabbits and rats but my ferrets chased some ferrets and there smell moved them out so thehy wont come back unless i sell my ferrets what will never happen :P
@morgasm657 Using man-made weapons and domesticated animals that rely on a human caretaker is not nature. While a 'natural' death may cause suffering, a prolonged and painful death at the hands of human involvement is just unacceptable. In order o reduce 'pest' rabbit populations, stop hunting their natural predators makes sense to me...?! Hope the pup is doing well!

I never really thought about it.
well done frank a credit to our village
What a legend. Despite the thick accent, he's actually quite eloquent. Only an Englishman could get away with such behaviour. True hero.
yess every thing he said is soo true! and he is a legend!!
good work.keep it up
Frank passed away recently!
A loss of a great character.
He snapped the neck straight off with a rabbit punch, i can't think of any way more humane.
What'd ya say?
lol
"What you say?"
pimped smacked the hell out of that rabbit.
man at 2:17 that man looks like a badass, a ferret in his hand a smoke in his mouth and his hand deep in the hole pulling out the rabbit
I wonder why ferreting has never been popular in my country ..

My mum used to know Frank before he died and we used to buy things from his fruit and veg stand )':
Great fella, nice ferrets, swift kill....but the hook use was out of order!
@morgasm657 He could have done either or both, but he didn't, and his freezer is full of game anyway in my opinion! If that bunny received wounds from that hook, it may well have died a long, painful death. Hunters always tell me that the 'prey' dies quickly and humanely....not the always the case!
