LIVE AGAIN // TTS // Varian & OC Animatic (Read Description)

The Story:
Varian grew up in Old Corona with his best friend, Lilith, a mage hiding her powers from a world that would abuse them. She and Varian were inseparable, the perfect balance of magic and alchemy rolled up into their strong friendship. She moved to the city with her father when she was young and became the unknown stable girl to the Royal Family. Rapunzel and company didn’t even know she existed until the Science Expo, where she and Varian are reunited, and her magical secret is revealed while trying to put out a large fire caused by a lapse in judgment by the Royals. Exactly like predicted, as soon as her magic is found out, everyone asks her for favors, so much so that she is overwhelmed with no way out. After the events from Queen for a Day, Lilith is angry about Varian’s treatment and moves back to Old Corona to help Varian free his father. The process proves revealing, as Lilith finds her mother’s last journal. Her mother, Evie, was blamed by King Fredrick for not being there to heal the Queen when she was sick, driving him to use the Sundrop to heal her, which resulted in Rapunzel being taken. When the black rocks appeared a few months after Lilith was born, Fredrick sent Evie to destroy the Moonstone, an unintended way of forcing Evie to feel the pain of being separated from her child. Evie agreed to fix Fredrick’s mistake, if only to protect Varian, the true vessel of the Moonstone, and the one the black rocks were really searching for. She was consumed by the Moonstone, and in exchange, the black rocks left Corona. Following her mother’s footsteps, she was kidnapped by a stranger hunting for a way to stop the black rocks. The black rocks kill Lilith and absorb her magic before she ever reaches the Dark Kingdom.
While in prison, Varian is visited by what he believes is the ghost of Lilith, comforting him and reminding him of the good life he had. In reality, it is the Moonstone, using Lilith’s face to convince Varian to take its power and become its vessel by offering him the life he always wanted. When he refuses, it is all taken away again, leaving Varian feeling even more lost and grief-stricken than before.
In the end, Lilith is miraculously shown to be injured, but alive, trying to find her way home.
I created Lilith for fun, initially, as my way of rewriting some of my personal issues with Tangled the Series. As she was fleshed out more and more, I decided to write her own story.
I still went back and made this animatic because I love this song and thought it would fit perfectly here.
