    Once again, the Professor and Shihan Ken opening up that vault full of knowledge. I know everybody on this channel is gaining real / valuable knowledge. The exponential growth in such a short time goes to show the higher level these two are operating at. (And remember folks, look how dark it is outside their dojo window). So not only do they teach during regular training hours, but then, they take additional time to produce these educational videos. MUCH LOVE & RESPECT to these two for blessing us all with their contributions. . Truly outstanding!! OUS!!!

    In my unit in the MC, we would do gauntlet work OFTEN, for this very reason. We might have an hr or 2 of some technique work, then it would be gauntlet time. 6 guys in a circle one in the middle, every man had a number and maybe a weapon. Sometimes it would be 2 on one or 3 on one. It was a great way to develop aggression and to win or die... You MOSTLY got your ass kicked lol
    To answer the question about what I wouldve done if 2 guys were in my garage or house: It would be 4 230gr bullets traveling at 800fps and then a call to my attorney, then 911.... Then I probably would put pants on LOL

Because when you can calm urself to think and strategize while flowing in the moment then you have a better chance of winning. I told people that people that I gave combat tips to, To act like you are just having a sparring match with your boy, to help take most of the fear aspect away. Which can contribute to you making a lot of unnecessary mistakes. Your thoughts?

    You said in one of your other video's that you aren't a Grappler.
    Then why do you have Ju Jitsu on your shirt?
    That would be like me wearing a shirt saying gymnastics and portraying that I teach that as a gymnastics teacher or coach, yet I say in my video's that I am not a gymnast
    Just asking.

      By grapling he mean Brazilian ju jujitsu. Professor teaches Japanese Ju Juitsu.

    • @johnt2831
      @johnt2831 9 месяцев назад

      @@lutzik Ummm, japanese jujitsu is also Grappling.
      Here, read this.
      Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, also known as Jujutsu or Jujitsu, is a traditional martial art that originated during the Feudal era in Japan. Let’s delve into the details:
      Close-Range Combat: Japanese Jiu-Jitsu emphasizes close-range combat techniques. It involves joint locks, throws, strikes, and grappling maneuvers to disable or control an opponent.
      Versatility: This martial art is versatile and commonly used for self-defense. Its techniques are still studied and practiced today, both in Japan and around the world.
      Rooted in Bushido: Japanese Jiu-Jitsu is rooted in the principles of Bushido, the samurai code of ethics. Originally designed for unarmed combat against armed opponents, it focuses on using an opponent’s energy and movements against them.
      Styles and Influence: There are various styles of Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, each with unique techniques. Notable styles include Daito-ryu Aikijujutsu and Kodokan Judo (which is a form of Judo). Additionally, many modern martial arts, including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, have been influenced by Japanese Jiu-Jitsu techniques1.
      In summary, Japanese Jiu-Jitsu combines practical self-defense techniques with historical roots, making it a valuable martial art for those seeking close-combat skills and situational awareness1. 🥋

      Thanks for the question @johnt2831. The Vee Arnis Jitsu system utilizes many concepts of Jui Jitsu as well as other martial arts. Although grappling has become synonymous with Jui Jitsu, its popular today in the form of BJJ which is a sport, not self-defense. The Professor is focusing on practical self-defense in reality and in these videos. The system contains a lot of ground control techniques, locks, breaks, chokes, holds...etc. but as the Professor says, you have to pick the right tool in your tool bag for the job! There's simply no situation where the Professor or his students will use or teach grappling or any other sport based styles for use in the streets.

    • @johnt2831
      @johnt2831 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@BWilliams72 Now you see, you are insulting my intelligence.
      You may be able to pull this on someone who does not know what they are talking about.
      However, I have been a Martial Artist for over 40 years, and have trained in many different disciplines along the way.
      Not all BJJ is sport JuJitsu.
      For instance, the Gracie's teach sport as well as self defense.
      I will tell you right now that I have been in fights in the streets, as well as in bars where Jujitsu helped me.
      You can not say that it will not go to the ground, and what do you do then if you aren't a Grappler and do not teach your students how to Grapple.
      I will tell you about one situation and by the way, I have never started a fight in my life, but I finish them.
      Not trying to be arrogant, but I never go looking for it, but people just seem to start with me.
      Not all the time, I mean the last street fight for me was back in 1997.
      So that tells you right there that I personally would rather talk my way out of it until he won't let me then I have to go to work on him, or them sometimes.
      So the guy grabs me while I am sitting down, and as I go to stand up he says don't bother and rips my shirt.
      I got mad and got up he came at me and we ended up on the ground where he was on top.
      I pulled him into my guard by using my legs.
      As I pulled him in, I arched up and slapped on a guillotine, and was about to choke him out, but then the bouncer came and saved him from going to sleep.
      So you are wrong about Grappling, because if I didn't know what I was doing, I would have gotten a serious beaten.
      He was much bigger than I was too.
      Oh, by the way, i have never taken BJJ in my life.
      Only Judo, and only to orange belt.
      I just have the high IQ when it comes to fighting.
      Keep training though, but you need to add Grappling into your system.

    • @BWilliams72
      @BWilliams72 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@johnt2831 Appreciate the story and context and not intending to insult. Your original message didn't give any indication of your skills or history. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying someone highly skilled in grappling, BJJ or boxing cannot use those skills to defend themselves or win a fight. Also not saying fights don't end up on the ground and you need to know what to do if in that situation for sure. Just using part of your story purely as an example and for conversation sake, you would say that confrontation began while sitting or standing correct? not on the ground? The Professor is focusing on shutting things down before it gets to that point and avoiding certain situations as ideal. If I'm a highly skilled grappler, chances are I'm looking for situations to go to the ground so I can do what I do. We all gotta do what we gotta do but if I can help it, I don't want to be on the ground grappling in a bar because I don't know who's with who and if it's a one on one situation. That bouncer could have easily been one of his boys. Even a guys girlfriend can stab you in the back or otherwise seriously hurt someone tangled up on the ground. Glad you did what you needed to and got home safe which is what matters.

    people got no power in their strikes cause they dont train for "short power". I knock out any man with a punch that only moves 2" and no, I wont chest and use my leg. I can do it from sitting a chair. I can do it with a temple strike, using backfist. ridgehand, elbow, forearm, knfehand, I can do it to the top the head with a hammer fist or a knife hand I cant do it with a knife hand to the side of neck or across the eyes. I c an do it with a knife or ridgehand to the side of the neck. I can do it with a punch or palm heel under the chin or order the nose i can do it with a headbutt to the cheekbone. Your startind and ending position is supposed to be building short-power, as well as timing, using legs with arms, buiding your sense of symmetry. All I ever see in training is wussy SLOP. You're suppsed to be striking and blocking with full, tensioned POWER, all you can muster.
