So many people don’t comprehend me when I tell them I’m not boxing I’m destroying you. Found this man and he’s been speaking my language way better than me. 🤝🏾
Hi. I’m a ex Marine I live in Savannah Georgia. I have never seen someone give such straight up real life instructions that will save anybody Ms life anytime anywhere. I’d like to come for a week and train under you. Thanks for being the real deal. Tell Kenny hello.
The one luring you into a fight already has a plan and a form they intend to incorporate. Nothing obligates you to play out someone else's plan. Thanks, Professor David!
This just might be one of the more educational and realistic quality martial arts instructional channels on RUclips available! I thoroughly enjoy the instruction and philosophy given!
I'm 63, been doing martial Arts for years; he's definitely on point. I train sometimes with my Son (28) & nephews (range early 20's) and they bring me back to reality quick. One approach that I went into was Kali/FMA cause the older you get you Need an equalizer. Thoughs strikes/kicks/grappling etc skills are not the same as before. Another thing that Must be emphasize is try not to be in confrontational situations as much as possible and if so brush up on your verbal & humility skills. If possible talk your way out of it if it goes that far. Everyone can't run, but we can avoid, talk and sharpen our environmental/relational skills.
I'm 65 years old, and I'm a trained fighter. I definitely don't have the same speed I had at 25, and I've been in martial arts since I was 13 years old. Much love and respect for you, gentlemen. Thank you so much.
Some of the guys in my karate club competed at a Combat Ju Jitsu event some months ago. They are all Black Belts but were significantly beaten by guys who used boxing skills in competition. They were doing exactly what is highlighted in this video: getting into a boxing match with better skilled boxers.. This video is extremely valuable in teaching this fundamental rule of fighting...
Greetings, Grand Master Professor David and Bro Ken. Blessings and Peace be Upon You and your House. Giving it to us , straight- up, no chaser . ALWAYS REAL ! Much Love and Respect.
I also remember that from your old videos. I told my wife that Professor couldn't be speaking about me since I'm not 61 I'm going to be 65. I need to be reminded I'm not that guy anymore. Hard lesson to accept
You are appreciated. Ilook forward to meeting you in person and getting my chops back up. I trained with Moses at 554 atlantic ave. Mr Vee taught every Friday. I miss them both dearly now im living in south Jersey. Peace.
Yes, you just called me out...lolol 64yrs and weekend training, like to think I can handle myself, but haven't been in a real fight in years. Love your videos, real world experience. Thank you Sensei ‼️
Been in Martial Arts for 50+ years. Master in one style. Black Belt in another. Lifted weights, did combat/reality, kickboxer, and so on. I am 66, almost 67. Just like you said, “I am not that guy anymore.” Takes awhile for that to sink in. Your body feels it. But your head doesn’t like it. But it is sure enough for real. You speak the truth sir!
Thank you Professor Dave and Kenny. Really enjoyed the stopping the boxer vid. Thank you gentlemen for all your energy, time and effort making these awesome vids. Be safe. Peace
Thank you guys for being so real I am 65 years old and have had hip surgery so I definitely can not move like could when I was in my younger days I go to the gym to work out I know what i should do if confronted walk away if possible stay humble I have learned so much from you and Kenny I just want to thank you guys for being who you are I am looking forward to training with you on your online course thanks again and may Jesus continues to bless you guys
I know exactly what he is talking about. As a 1st degree(soon to be 2nd degree) Black Belt in Aiki Jujitsu....I DO NOT fight! Once we make contact, it's on until threat is nutralized!
I’m 35 and I been wanting to take up boxing cuz I love the sport. And cuz I’m a giant and do security but would hate to get my ass handed to me by someone who knows how to box 😂 this rt here is a great way of defense. Thank you and will be checking out more of your trainings.
Thank you professor, my sensei Artemus Shabazz spoke of you and Mosus Powell often. When I hear you teach, you remind me of my mentor and teacher.... Love and blessings
Professor David and Kenny, while taking a break in between my English teaching classes, I came across this video and I must say that I am 8 months late for this lesson. However, I am in class and paying attention. This one is filled with gems. Thanks!
Professor, man your videos are the best. I am a peaceful man who does not want to fight especially given that I am now 60. So watching your video gives me some hope that I practice and should I get into trouble on the street I now at least might have some chance to defend myself and hopefully get back home. Thank you for sharing.
I was watching tiktok videos and I saw a younger woman boxing a mannequin. I have never seen anything like it. She had lightening speed reflexes throwing punches one after the other and totally destroyed the mannequin. It was scary and she was relatively small. I am 61 and we live in a dangerous world and you are right...the best defense is...not to fight. I always walk down the street with a good posture and always aware of my surroundings...keeping a safe distance between people. And I am never looking down at my cell phone. I just subscribed.
That was a nugget in the lesson in this one I got kicked in the one not even good one will make a person think different 😂 like sit down like I got some sense
I freakin love this! God bless you guys! This channel is the best on RUclips! I'm retired but I wish I could afford to subscribe to your online University! Unfortunately, I can't, but I really like your videos and feel empowered, that I can do what you are saying. Hopefully, I'll never need to use it!
this guy has exactly the same approach as Geoff thompson from the UK. hit hard and hit first was always thompsons policy as a bouncer back in the 1980s, once he logged the threat in front of him. to not do so meant a trip to the emergency ward or the morgue. and still does!
I've noticed by watching several videos that the people who begin to quarrel, drop the guards, talk too much and are cocky, get easily knocked out with a single punch. Maybe it's a coincidence.
Not a criticism, I value and admire this channel. Honest question: I wouldn't look forward to taking punches on my open, unpadded hands, I'm not a fighter, not sure I could use them as weapons immediately after. Comments welcome.
My brother, have you seen mike tyson training? He is still lightening fast and still has power. Age does not mean that you are not that guy anymore. But you go ahead and believe what you want
Great info, but can you use elbows to block punches? How would this technique work against pro boxers like Tyson Fury, Terrence Crawford, or an unknown trained boxer??
So many people don’t comprehend me when I tell them I’m not boxing I’m destroying you. Found this man and he’s been speaking my language way better than me. 🤝🏾
He kept it 100 💯
Your information is so right! I am 65 years old. And there is no way that I have the same speed I had when I was in my 20’s. Keep up the great work.
Real stuff. Box with a boxer, get boxed up.

Pearls of street smarts wisdom. I hope all have paid attention by watching and learning.

This reminds of My Cousin who always talks about what He Used to do, Never sounds Humble!
This just might be one of the more educational and realistic quality martial arts instructional channels on RUclips available! I thoroughly enjoy the instruction and philosophy given!
There is not many decent channels. Lots of bjj bs and more
Catching a bare fist with an open hand is not very practical, you could catch punches from boxing gloves but not a bare fist.

you have to know how to box to defend the angles boxers punch from period, if somebody really knows how to box that shit won't work
Love this video, wish I was shown this back then, 61 now, love the knowledge.
Greetings, Grand Master Professor David and Bro Ken. Blessings and Peace be Upon You and your House.
Giving it to us , straight- up, no chaser . ALWAYS REAL !

I love the way you teach us about how to protect ourselves

We were doing drills the other week. I too found it much easier to use the hands as focus mitts then blocking everything. Cheers
