I happened to notice some stats: Roger only won three finals against unseeded players (one of them was Safin), while Novak won two finals. In their title winning GS, they both played around 15 matches against unseeded players since R16: • Roger played 7 times a former Top 10, while Novak ONLY played one (Hewitt in AO 2012, who was done and dusted by 2006 already). Even when anyone can be Top 10 since 2016, Novak didn't faced a single one. • Roger lost 8 sets and played 13 tiebreaks; all of them in 2012 or before, since 2017 he didn't lose a set (he didn't played any match in between those years). Novak lost 7 sets and played 4 tiebreaks (4 of those sets came from 5 setters). The thing is, 10 of his matches against unseeded players came after 2018, and he won those 7/10 matches in straights. Not that most seeded players posed any threat the last decade, but even then he didn't even had to play them that much. 10/40 matches since R16 Wimbledon 2018, plus the seeded ones: • Final vs Berretini (9) and Anderson (8). • SF vs Pouille (31), Bautista (22), Nishikori (21), Shapovalov (12) and Norrie (12) • QF vs Raonic (35), Nishikori (28) and Goffin (23). If someone still gives that weak era crap for Roger's success, obviously didn't watched anything back then so just show this. Novak won more easily his matches since Wimbledon 2018 than at his prime, and he's already won 10 slams by being 31+ years old. Ridiculous.
Wow excellent stat... So in short, novak is the WEAKEST ERA PLAYER... Adding to that, the weakest era player novak has lost to 3 different opponents in GS finals at his prime if u exclude rafa and roger..
@@masters.1000 oh again a nice stat.. Let me use this to trigger novaktards😂😂... Novak who reached his prime in 2011, won only 3 slams in next 3 years losing to the likes of old fed, stan murray and still idiots tell him he is the strong era player.. Opportunistic winner... Such a right word coined by u for the weakest era player novak
This is what makes Raz the goat. When I saw the title, I thought it's probably gonna be AO 2017 R3, which I've seen many times. But nope. Raz pulls this gem for us to enjoy.
To me Men's Tennis has a Dark Cloud over it because of the GOAT Mr. Roger Federer retirement. And in Women's to after Mrs Lindsey Davenport and Mrs.Stefi Graf and Mrs. Monica Seles all retired.
Was that the 2014 ATP RR match when Roger rolled Berdych with about a dozen drop shots? Berdych tripped to much trying to move forward that I thought he was going to break an ankle.

Even in his prime, he lost 5 out of 6 GS finals between RG 2012 and RG 2014.

And yet Berdych broke the momentum in crucial moments from Federer. Wimbledon 2010 and US Open 2012
