- Hello, and welcome to the Raga Lab music series. I’m Will Marsh and here in session #6, I’m excited to teach work with you on a beautiful night raga called Rag Bageshree.
The mood of Bageshree is peaceful and romantic. Ma is the vadi which means it is the most prominent note.
Bageshree falls in the 2nd Prahar of the Night (9PM to 12AM)
Our sitar tuning is unique for bageshree because it is a ma-vadi raag.
Sitar tuning - chikari - m D S S or m S S on KP

It's sad that you are doing so hard in making these videos and no one's commenting or appreciating. You play beautifully. It's just RUclips's algorithm that you get less views.
I came across your channel when looking for a sitar to buy. I have recently wanted to learn the instrument. I'm from Kolkata/ Calcutta by the way and I have seen a video where you have appreciated Calcutta's sitar makers, stating them one of the best. It's shameful on my side that I didn't knew about this previously.
Anyways, thank you for the free knowledge you are imparting and I hope more people gets to know about you through your music.
Thanks so much for sharing this feedback, Anu. Yes I'm just trying to provide valuable guidance for those looking to learn sitar. I also hope that these lessons will reach more people. All the best on your musical journey!
