I find the writing in this game so flavorful. I have this playing in the background while I play other games and half the time when Dave reads a letter or dialog from an npc, it honestly sounds like Dave adds in words or improvs small sections of the sentence when in reality, that's how the dialog actually reads. It gives a sincere and realistic tone to every text-based interaction.
I love the horse riding animation. It looks like one of those little horse head on a stick toy things you get as a kid to pretend to ride one while running around.
I am so in love with these long-format videos. It is so nice to put on while I work and watch throughout the day. I am so glad to see Arthur's Father's story being told. When will he meet Arthur's Mother, I wonder?

Dave please make this a mainstay of the channel like morrowind, I love it, btw I've been a huge fan since you played oblivion as a high elf sorcerer but quit the series because the mods got messed up years ago
Daggerfall is beautiful and Dagerfall Unity is something very very special. For my taste, I personally prefer Morrowind anyway. Daggerfall is so much bigger (and not only in worldspace, but also in terms of role playing depth and all) but still, almost everything is procedurally generated and for me this feels like the world is all the same, a shapeless mass without a soul. Morrowind, on the other side, feels like every single place is different and you are more willing to explore and be amazed at every step you take, because you may discover something unique beyond the horizon.
Adding some of Daggerfall's RPG systems (like the courts) and a little of its scale to Morrowind, and adding more detail and personality to Daggerfall, could make both among the best games ever made.

I remember playing Daggerfall back in the 90's when it was new. I found it addicting and kept dying over and over in that first dungeon. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to survive the dungeon. Eventually, it occurred to me, the best way to survive the dungeon was to run past every single enemy. I got to the game world, and remember being a bit blown away that the first dungeon, "wasn't the entire game." I ended up playing Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. And because all those games were developed with the developers not having "a randomizer of maps, towns, and dungeons." I don't think they could ever quite capture the feel of true exploration that you experienced with the randomized map. But of course, the later games are better given adding details and lore to it all. I wish they could bring back a true "randomizer" to the open world and dungeons. Maybe "AI" could offer something like that?
