    Well done! I’ve done this before but needed a refresher because I’m cooking some expensive New Yorks tonight for my family. Thank you!

    It really is tough to be a seared steak over some hot coals, fire, and a hot grill grate. Most excellent job

    I wonder what happens if you start off indirectly cooking it over charcoal with wood chips to get the smoke flavor but then finish it off in a cast iron pan to get the really crispy crust. I'm interested in how that would turn out.

      There have been a few people ask about that so I might film that video next weekend. We’ll see how it turns out!

      @@BBQandBottles I actually do that all the time. What you did in this video is what always did until I found your channel. Lately I've been smoking my Steaks and searing them in cast iron with the butter, garlic, and rosemary....I've actually been getting harassed lately for making more frequently! Great videos Sir!!! Keep them coming. Brian H, BBQ and bottles.... Try this, you'll love it!

      Haha. There’s no better compliment to a cook when the fam starts asking for it more frequently!!!

    Good video but you forgot to mention how the different seasoning salts worked out.

    • @BBQandBottles
      @BBQandBottles  5 лет назад +1

      There wasn’t much of a difference in the different salts with the exception of taste. So it all came down to the taste preference to be honest. Personally I really liked the balsamic vinegar one.

    Should not have added the apple wood if you were trying test the flavor of the salts esp because one of them was made with smoked paprika.
