This so is so good, it reminds me of a smooth cape-verdian melodic vibe. But it won’t survive in the Eurovision nowadays circus-type. Already in my playlist as well.
In my playlist as well. Musical elements and beats, the fact that she is a woman all remind me of Sade. The song is like that shy and beautiful person standing at the corner of a crowded room that one can't help but notice. Too bad she won't represent us with afro beats, could have been entirely different. Last year we had a dreamy lethargic pop song blah
Lena stated that the demo version was very fast, she wanted to make her mom smile and see her in the festival.
Unfortunately, her mom passed away in January due to illness and couldn't see her perform. Then she changed the beat and dedicated the song to her as she is pointing towards the sky in the performance. The lyrics are emotional when you consider the circumstances, because she says: "I don't need anything from anyone, I only miss your voice. Call me Lena, they call me Lena because of you"

I wish more people would pay attention to all of the brilliant details of the song, just like you do. Lena is an amazing, well educated artist and all of her music sounds light and breezy at first glance, but when you pay attention, you learn to appreciate the brilliance behind all of the layers that fit perfectly. I recommend you to listen to the rest of her (sadly) still very short discography, it is wonderful.

I wish we'd get more of these dark horses in eurovision. Songs that do things a little differently without necessarily catering to being bigger louder crasser
