- Hey Guys - Check out the newest watch in my collection. I picked this one up from www.DavidSW.com. I originally discovered this piece at a Panerai store in Atlanta and instantly fell in love with it. I'm typically a 40mm case kind of guy and would consider 42mm at the upper end of what is comfortable for me. I felt like this model was a great balance of that masculine Panerai style we all know and love, but in a little more sleek case size for us smaller wristed folks. Enjoy the review!
Sincerely,
The Dutch Sandwich

A fantastic watch I own too. Travel hour hand, 42mm, Sapphire sandwich, 100m water resistant and 22mm strap size and manufacturer movement. Can’t ask for more. The rotor noise reminds you you have a mechanical piece on your wrist. So cool!
Thanks for actually doing the rotor noise. I thought my Tudor had issues with the rotor because I never heard one be that loud. Apparently the ceramic is louder like you said.
Yup. Wearing this watch right now and it's still loud.
Wow!! Great watch and what a fantastic collection of timepieces you must have already. Congratulations.
AjaxForever Thank you sir!
Really interesting history behind the brand. Great review and awesome watch👍
TimeToGo Travel And Timepieces Hey, thanks so much. I'm so glad you enjoyed!
When returning crown/stem to its' operating position, you should push it back in manually, rather than using the crown guard lever. The lever, when used this way, has a tendency to put uneven pressure on the crown. Which could result in long term damage over time, especially with a watch that may be hand wound daily. The lever should be used to lock the crown in place...once it's already in place. Great review.
Thanks for watching. There is actually a small roller on the lever specifically design to help push the crown back into its' fully secured/waterproof place. The lever actually pushes the crown in about 1mm so it's not actually possible to put the crown fully back into the watch and maintain its' waterproof characteristics without it. It's a lot easier to see if you have one in hand.
Great clip and beautiful watch! I own the Luminor 1950 PAM 1359
👍
I come from the world of 36mm watches. I don’t own a PAM but it’s a future purchase. I have a 6 & 3/4 wrist and I’ve tried the 45mm Radiomir. Since the PAM is mostly all case. To my surprise it works! Yes it looks big but it wears small. It’s the design that make it fit on smaller wrists. I tried on a 47mm 1949 PAM and that was just TOO HUGE! Definitely not for a small wrist. I never tried the 44mm and I hardly see anyone rock a PAM in Chicago. Still a 112 is definitely in my wish list.
Cool
Go for the 42mm
I have a small wrist 6.5 inches and was shy about a 42mm. I do have a 40mm PAM048 and love it. After purhasing the PAM 392 42mm, I've noticed that the sandwhich dial numbers don't stand out in regular lighting as much as the sausage dial ones. Weird.
Then you got a fake one.
@@bigmacdaddy1234 I did not get a fake one as I have all 3 boxes, papers etc. I've also gotten it verified in Florence Italy.
Probably because one has paint on top vs the cut out
Great video, as usual. I went with the PAM 111 in 2015, and have a similar wrist size. I love it--don't get me wrong--but I think that 392 would have been perfect for me as well.
xallelsefailedx Very nice. I wish that 44case was offered in the 392 1950's style case!
Had a PAM 005 now a 393 in my old age.
Wow what a coincidence!! Lol Very nice watch. Great choice!
I went with pam359 which is 44mm. I was considering the same model as yours but my buddy convinced me to go with little bigger than my usual taste. So far no regret. (:

Nice
check out the PAM 560 the one i have, has 12-3-6 and 9, 2 hands, simple and beautiful.
The PAM560 is definitely sweet, but I'm still hooked on the 42mm. Enjoy yours!
Black on the black still the nicest..
It's a classic combo for sure
I've also purchased from DavidSW, a Rolex DateJust - great service. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for this PAM392?
I like the 392 over the more updated 1392 because I'm not a fan of the latter's blue seconds hands. I also like the 510 (Luminor 8 Days) and 564 (titanium Luminor 8 Days)
Nice! I don't remember exactly, but it was less than $5k
It’s the Radiomir for me. The crown guard is a Marmite appendage , I know that, well, I don’t like it. Thanks
Great review! Love this watch!
Btw ‘Figlio’ means son - pronounced ‘fillyo’. Just saying 🙏
What do you think about the newer PAM1312 not having hacking seconds? Thanks
Good job with the review! I have a 7 1/2" wrist and am torn between this and the PAM 312 which is 44 mm. My CH Ward Trident is 43 mm which seems to be my absolute ideal size, so not sure with this decision to go a little up, or down from there. Any advice? Does this watch wear big or small? My local Tourneau didn't have this one on hand to try on. I'm a short guy, so even though the 312 fit pretty decently, I'm wondering if it just looks too big.
If you've got a 7.5" wrist I'd feel comfortable recommending the 44mm size. Go biggest you feel comfortable with when it comes to Panerai!
Thank you for replying! I think I'm going with the 392 because from what I read, it's about 2mm less thick. It fits fine on my wrist, but being only 5'3" tall, I think it looks a little big overall for me.
Thanks Mokai! I love the C60. One of the best looking and fitting watches I own. I completely agree about the 392. It's only 2mm less thick but it makes a big difference. I ordered it the other day. There's a bit of a wait as the dealer had to order it but I'm really looking forward to it.
I like Pan, but their prices have gotten ridiculous.
Shipmate that’s due to Panerai going away from ETA to in-house movements which naturally will increase the price.
They've come down a little recently
Tuxedo watch❤
Leuk man! Denk ook dat ik er een wil, of ik wacht op de PAM 682.
Are you kidding me I wished I had a 7 inch wrist. And I just ordered a 44mm 111.
Great review !!
& a used Sub for 5g ? Where !?
This was pricing a few years ago
I bought exactly this model but sold it again as the size was just a little too big. I should have bought the slightly smaller model.
Did you end up with a 40mm?
TheDutchSandwich it was 44mm
how much did it cost? and have you replaced the leather strap yet? The alligator strap has to be replaced as the leather? Or is it stronger...
Look them up online for pricing. I replaced with the tan suede strap and love it. They're all strong.
So what exactly are you saying about the loud rotor? My 45mm Hamilton is loud as well.
hyperchord That its louder than the other watches in my collection.
Do you still have the Panerai? How is it running?
Dude, aren't you wearing it too forward on your wrist? just question.
Would you ever consider getting the steinhart ocean 500 titanium?
For right now I'd probably say no
+TheDutchSandwich any particular reason for that?As i really want to get one but im afraid the size wont math my wrist ( i have a 6.75 wrist and its a 42mm watch)
It's merely because my current dive watch lineup. If you were to ask me 2 years ago before I picked them all up I would've said yes for sure. It's an awesome watch, but would be hard to justify when I have so many right now.
I dont understand why people wear their watches so close to their hand. So close that the crown, or in this case, the crown guard digs into the top of your hand. IMO, watches should be worn before the bump at the end of the ulna bone or right near it but not past it or on top of it
To upset OCD people
@@TheDutchSandwich
No it just looks dumb. A watch is to be worn on the wrist, not the hand.
Any issues with reliability or time keeping?
Nope
How much is this wath
Wath you talking about Willis?
my whistle got wet. thank you
ha thanks
Pam 112 is outdated using Unitas movement..560 is much better with 8 days power reserve..
That one is sweet
The modified ETA Unitas movement is very reliable and accurate. It’s cheaper to service and easier for any watchmaker to work on. Less time away from you at service. With the new PAM in-house movements, only Panerai will work on them. I would definitely go the 560 route. However “8 Days” on the dial just ruins it for me. I’m an old fashioned guy. I don’t mind winding my watch every 3 days. To me that’s the romance of a mechanical timepiece.
обалденные часы
Hey man got a question since there r no local panerai shop gotta ask someone to buy one for me so do think it would fit in a 15-16cm wrist ?
I have a 7" wrist if you think it looks good on me you be the judge for your size
"beefy"
It's what's for dinner
Watch history is just sales blurb ! Mist of us know that, next you’ll be telling us Captain Kirk wore it? It’s a bit too chunky for me and the crown guard just makes it chunkier again! I do quite like the Radiomir versions though. Thank for sharing.
Next step is to sell this and go with a 44mm.
haha I don't know about that. I'm pretty hap...yeah I might someday.
I switched from a 44 mm Panerai to this model 2 years ago and have been much happier with this size. In my opinion, it's the goldilocks size with this brand. Most of my other watches are around 40 mm which the best watch brands including Rolex and Patek seem to agree with...

omdat - > ongeveer
Dude that watch is to big on you
Absolutely
Thomas Russo it's bang on man.
It’s not too big
It's too small.
Looks spot on.
