    White Sands is gorgeous! We only visited for a day, but I would love to go back and just sit and take pics!

      The photo ops out there are amazing! We would love to walk out into the dunes at Alkali flats at sunset again. The textures and shadows were epic!

    Stay in Las Cruces. Born and raised 45 mins away from white sands. Las Cruces is one of the nicest small cities

    Which trail did you do for the sunset pictures you got?

      We didnt do the full hike, but the pictures were taken in the Alkali Flat Trail area.

    We live in Alamogordo and have been to the park many times. Everyone that comes to visit us from out of state wants to go to the park.

    Great video with awesome content! Can you still enter the park if it’s closed? Are there gates? We’re planning a car trip there but it’s saying they’re closed.

      Thank you so much! We don't remember seeing a gate but we didn't go there when it's closed either. Here's what posted on the park's website:
      "The park gates always open at 7:00 am with closing hours changing with sunset. The park closes 30 minutes after local sunset. Local sunset is 8 minutes earlier than Alamogordo's predicted sunset."

      Daytime temperatures range from 70°F to 80°F, and the park is less crowded compared to summer.

      @@MA-rc7tq there is backcountry camping out there. I'm not sure if it is open currently, you might want to check the park before you go.

      Right!? It's actually a really geologically diverse state if you know where to look. Or next couple videos will be from Carlsbad Caverns which is another amazing spot 😎

    To anyone visiting there, resist the urge to take sand home with you. They really frown upon it, as well as explicitly ban it.
