♦️This was from the annual Melon Music Awards, a Korean award show the equivalent to the Billboard Awards. BTS swept the awards, thus closed the award show, though many other artists did indeed perform beforehand. The cost of the production for BTS entertainment company BigHit, was over 500K dollars, and all the in-house production team of BigHit started planning it over half a yr beforehand! Also most of the rehearsal time that BTS had, was while they were touring worldwide. But they all were quite into doing this, and somehow managed to fit in the rehearsal like they did the yr before. The only one who performed live only, without benefit of VCR being shown, for the broadcasted version, was Jimin, who shows here being the phenomenal, outstanding, ever so breathtakingly amazing professional dancer he is, which he was even before joining BTS. His performance was beyond mesmerizing, so poised & elegant of a dancer. With the exception of Jimin, all the other solo performances were prerecorded live, with smaller audience the day before, since there was no way to have these stage sets and tank pool of water let alone have JK who was performing the dance in water get dried and change clothes beforehand! Although, all the members performed a live version of their solo dance, for the live audience, while the VCR was playing the prerecorded version that the broadcast, & or online audience saw. Also certain songs like Mikrokosmos were performed live beforehand, as well, so they could also allow for the special effects that only people who saw the broadcast on TV in South Korea or had it stream worldwide could see that version. Also the part with the live horses was filmed beforehand without an audience.
Can you understand now why Army's justifiably get angry when they don't win performance awards when they should. These 7 men put everything they have into their performances and it shows! To quote RM "I'll prove it" and they do that every single time!
15:05 These boys here are part of the group Tomorrow x Together (TxT), which has 5 members. They are part of the same company as BTS, being very young, born between 1997 and 2002. The curious fact is that they were the second group that Big Hit debuted years after BTS, in 2018, if I'm not mistaken. They are considered by BTS to be their little brothers, and TxT considers them older brothers with more experience and advice for them.
Helpful to know: All K-pop award show main stage performers do a set that is part pre-recorded and part live on stage. That's how the manage a seamless show with so many costume and set changes.
This was award show, not their concert. No American award show can hold a candle to this kinda show! They would lose their minds. Plus BTS took home all the top awards at this one! Blows your mind right.

This is a historical performance BUT I would advise new reactors to listen to more of their discography first. Jimin's solo performance, wearing a modernized hanbok just fastened by ties only, had many different dance elements in it! Including the barrel leaps taken from Korean dance elements, some martial arts elements, (trained for 8 yrs in various forms w/blackbelt in Taekwondo), & of course contemporary dance. Also, equally ever so stunningly outstanding, was Jimin's scarf work, which is alone so hard to master, without getting that ever so thin veil of a scarf all tangled! Jimin somehow was able to make the scarf one with himself, using it as an extension, even at one point when he did that amazing jump leap straight up the scarf becoming his wings!! Jimin's whole performance was so amazingly stunningly beautiful. Just so effortlessly breathtakingly mesmerizing to see!!
They all performed live, just for broadcast they switched to prerecorded videos for aesthetic purposes. I saw their performances in black suits instead of white, so they didn't have to change outfits between intro and the song. Except Jimin, yeah, he had to rush to change.
Now, I wonder why you feel the need to stress this? Sure, give credit where credit is due. But this reminds me of when someone praises a team for winning and somebody has to insist that THEY are the one who scored more than the others. When you take that extra minute and remember this is just for an awards show. There concerts are unbelievable. This but for nearly 3 hours. They are incredible performers. Never disappoint.

My all time fave performance- Dionysus. They almost lost their breaths due to the instense singing and choreo. I still gave goosebumps everytime i rewatch this.
You should watch the BTS Butter performance at the 2021 Grammy's. And remember when you are watching it, that they DID NOT win!!!! Hence why it's called the Scammy's. BTS has been nominated for two 2022 Grammy's but not holding my breath that the academy will actually give it to them. BTS isn't willing to wine and dine the academy to win. Hats off to BTS. An award that has to be bought really isn't worth much.

This will always be the best stage performance, imo. It helps to know a little about Greek mythology to understand the solo performances and who Dionysus was. The details and art that goes into what they do amazes me
You should watch their performance on previous years too on MAMA and MMA. Start from MMA 2014 and MAMA 2014 until now. For MAMA, BTS didnt have solo stage on 2014-2015, but they have collab stage with other kpop group. For me, their best collaboration stage is in MAMA 2014 with Block B (Block B is senior group in kpop industry, they debut in 2011, while BTS is in 2013). Is one of legendary collaboration. There is NO WAY you can compare our awards show with theirs. This was not a concert. The whole performance was from Greek Mythology. Each one of the members represented a mythical god. The light bulbs coming down made up a queen's crown. Even the horses had a meaning. They did their homework. Maybe one of the ARMY can break done each representation better than I.

♦️This was from the annual Melon Music Awards, a Korean award show the equivalent to the Billboard Awards. BTS swept the awards, thus closed the award show, though many other artists did indeed perform beforehand. The cost of the production for BTS entertainment company BigHit, was over 500K dollars, and all the in-house production team of BigHit started planning it over half a yr beforehand! Also most of the rehearsal time that BTS had, was while they were touring worldwide. But they all were quite into doing this, and somehow managed to fit in the rehearsal like they did the yr before.
The only one who performed live only, without benefit of VCR being shown, for the broadcasted version, was Jimin, who shows here being the phenomenal, outstanding, ever so breathtakingly amazing professional dancer he is, which he was even before joining BTS. His performance was beyond mesmerizing, so poised & elegant of a dancer. With the exception of Jimin, all the other solo performances were prerecorded live, with smaller audience the day before, since there was no way to have these stage sets and tank pool of water let alone have JK who was performing the dance in water get dried and change clothes beforehand!
Although, all the members performed a live version of their solo dance, for the live audience, while the VCR was playing the prerecorded version that the broadcast, & or online audience saw. Also certain songs like Mikrokosmos were performed live beforehand, as well, so they could also allow for the special effects that only people who saw the broadcast on TV in South Korea or had it stream worldwide could see that version. Also the part with the live horses was filmed beforehand without an audience.
Can you understand now why Army's justifiably get angry when they don't win performance awards when they should. These 7 men put everything they have into their performances and it shows! To quote RM "I'll prove it" and they do that every single time!
15:05 These boys here are part of the group Tomorrow x Together (TxT), which has 5 members. They are part of the same company as BTS, being very young, born between 1997 and 2002.
The curious fact is that they were the second group that Big Hit debuted years after BTS, in 2018, if I'm not mistaken. They are considered by BTS to be their little brothers, and TxT considers them older brothers with more experience and advice for them.
Helpful to know: All K-pop award show main stage performers do a set that is part pre-recorded and part live on stage. That's how the manage a seamless show with so many costume and set changes.
This was award show, not their concert. No American award show can hold a candle to this kinda show! They would lose their minds. Plus BTS took home all the top awards at this one! Blows your mind right.

This is a historical performance BUT I would advise new reactors to listen to more of their discography first. That way you can hear the album version of the tracks and see what they are saying lyrically. You take pot luck with some live performances as the camera work isn't always the best and there isn't always captions. Some will ask you to react to what THEY want to see, not what YOU want to see!

And just think this performance is for a freaking award show, not a BTS concert. I can't watch western award shows anymore unless BTS is there because I find them so underwhelming compared to the performances they pull off in South Korea/Japan. ❣️Jimin was the only one who performed live only, without benefit of the prerecorded VCR being shown, like for other BTS members, for the broadcasted version. Jimin's solo performance, wearing a modernized hanbok just fastened by ties only, had many different dance elements in it! Including the barrel leaps taken from Korean dance elements, some martial arts elements, (trained for 8 yrs in various forms w/blackbelt in Taekwondo), & of course contemporary dance. Also, equally ever so stunningly outstanding, was Jimin's scarf work, which is alone so hard to master, without getting that ever so thin veil of a scarf all tangled! Jimin somehow was able to make the scarf one with himself, using it as an extension, even at one point when he did that amazing jump leap straight up the scarf becoming his wings!! Jimin's whole performance was so amazingly stunningly beautiful. Just so effortlessly breathtakingly mesmerizing to see!!
They all performed live, just for broadcast they switched to prerecorded videos for aesthetic purposes. I saw their performances in black suits instead of white, so they didn't have to change outfits between intro and the song. Except Jimin, yeah, he had to rush to change.

When you take that extra minute and remember this is just for an awards show. There concerts are unbelievable. This but for nearly 3 hours. They are incredible performers. Never disappoint.

My all time fave performance- Dionysus. They almost lost their breaths due to the instense singing and choreo. I still gave goosebumps everytime i rewatch this.
You should watch the BTS Butter performance at the 2021 Grammy's. And remember when you are watching it, that they DID NOT win!!!! Hence why it's called the Scammy's. BTS has been nominated for two 2022 Grammy's but not holding my breath that the academy will actually give it to them. BTS isn't willing to wine and dine the academy to win. Hats off to BTS. An award that has to be bought really isn't worth much.

Oh RM is fluent in 3 languages, I've heard he is working on a 4th. Language/sound are a strength cognitively. He teaches himself to speak new languages.
The fact that when rm brought the staff down at the end of the solo stages to begin Dionysus … he missed the floor and whacked himself in the crotch but had to stand there like the professional that he is and not move 😂 that’s about as namjoon as it could be. Jimin’s solo dance gives me goosebumps every time. He’s such a talented dancer who is so versatile. I could watch him dance all day.
I saw many reactions of this huge amazing performance and noone notice that in the Dionisus performance they are representing tge very foundations of them culture that are based on the elements (even korean language system or alfabete is based in the same theory Earth-man-sun) here they do AIR (V with the aero-acrobats and Jimin performance) WATER (Jungkook) FIRE (Suga) and Mankind (Jin representing the Troyan battle and dominance of the human brain and strength of human unity) to me J-hope is representing the dominance of the human body itself with a precise movement of body parts that creates a harmony and lively performance). When they are doing their individual acts the others are resting because they are nonstop and at the end you can tell they are exhausted.
This will always be the best stage performance, imo. It helps to know a little about Greek mythology to understand the solo performances and who Dionysus was. The details and art that goes into what they do amazes me
You should watch their performance on previous years too on MAMA and MMA. Start from MMA 2014 and MAMA 2014 until now. For MAMA, BTS didnt have solo stage on 2014-2015, but they have collab stage with other kpop group. For me, their best collaboration stage is in MAMA 2014 with Block B (Block B is senior group in kpop industry, they debut in 2011, while BTS is in 2013). Is one of legendary collaboration. You should check it out!!!!

There is NO WAY you can compare our awards show with theirs. This was not a concert. The whole performance was from Greek Mythology. Each one of the members represented a mythical god. The light bulbs coming down made up a queen's crown. Even the horses had a meaning. They did their homework. Maybe one of the ARMY can break done each representation better than I.
