Exactly! The Grammy's award shows was and is nothing compared to this Asian award shows with BTS as guest performers. They are so afraid that they could not and will not accept BTS's legendary performances. No western artist can do what BTS is and was doing. Hail to the Total Performers with real and unadulterated talents. By the way if I was an artist who is going to perform on shows like this before or after BTS I would beg off not to do it because I wil be just forgotten by the audience. Cheers.

Jimin is a trained contemporary dancer who topped his dance class. He showed his acrobatic skills to "I Need You Girl", one of BTS' classic songs.

what was also very special about this performance was that every single song they played was either an older song or a new song. this whole performance was a celebration of all their older songs and how far they came to be where they are at rn. a whole memorylane for army. BTS was the last performance of the night, cause i dont think anyone would be brave enough to perform after all that. It was giving 30+min to them cause they are at that stardom level now. they always perform last these past couple years. They are afterall the biggest kpop group in the world. And in that night they won ALL the big awards. ALL. From group of the year, artist of the year, song of the year, album of the year... they won ALL.

i don't know if this is true, but I read that this performance took 3 months of planning. In response to your comment about how deep Jin's voice got in Dionysus, I believe he has the 2nd biggest vocal range of the group. In that part he goes way low to way high.

I'm their early days they were not given enough screen time and were cut from most of the shows and showcases and Now they are given the end slot of 30+ mins like LEGENDS. The power is unexplainable!

- V as Apollo, god of sun.
- Jin as Athena, Goddess of Justice. (Before Army believed that Jin represent Ares, God of War, but it’s not.)
- Jimin as Artemis, Goddess of Moon. (In Greek mythology, Artemis is also known to be Apollo’s twin, and this only added more depth to the comparison of V as Apollo and Jimin as Artemis)
- Suga as Hephaestus, God of Fire.
- J- Hope as Zeus, God of Thunder.
- Jungkook as Poseidon, God of Sea.
- RM as Dionysus, God of Wine and Festivity.
The lights that came down after each of the individual performances to make a semi-circular shape represent the constellation Corona Borealis.

MoonRay 61 MoonRay 61 I saw fews local Korean news wrote about Jin as Athena at that time, but Jin can be Ares, too. There were many different opinions to discuss which god suit them the most. Some news and Army also thought Jin as Aphrodite.

The people they showed in the crowd while BTS was performing Boy With Luv was two of the five members of TXT. They are the brother group of BTS (under the same company). They are huge fans of BTS too and friends with them
The struggle of being an army is that whenever bts is invited to perform somewhere we have to wait till the end because they almost always are the last act and honestly we understand because who wants to come after a performance like this.
Ps:not trying to shade other artist because all work hard but no other artist puts so much effort in a performance.They spend so much money,they need oxygen after this kind of performances. I watched other idols performances but you can't argue with me that bts are another level.
Yo that breakdown at the end was pretty dope. For those of you who only skip and watch the reaction part I suggest taking a quick listen to after they finished. My guy gave some great analogies to explain how BTS can consistently do things like put on this performance.

J-hope's smile and sunny personality can literally make anyone smile, and if you check out more of their videos of behind the scenes you will find him even more adorable. 2019 was the first year that BTS scored the final performance slot at award shows. Which is the most prestigious slot. Usually acts doing the final performance also walk away with the Artist of the Year daesang. In 2018, SM arm-twisted the award shows to give the lasr slot to their band EXO. But BTS still won Artist of the Year. Imagine SM/EXO's embarrassment. When it became obvious that BTS gonna sweep awards in 2019, SM (& YG) boycotted the award shows.
2019 definitely BTS' year so it's hard for those "big agency" to "manipulate" that awards. I mean it's just an awards show, sometimes this year you get one, next year maybe not - it's a life but I think the main purpose was to celebrate, meet and having fun between all the artist and fans for all achievement (big or small ) for a whole one year, right?

In the past bts couldn't perform, even 3 years after debuted, and when they could, They were only allowed to do it when it was all over, people were pouring in and the confetti had already been thrown away. Now nobody in the audience goes if they are not there, that's why they must give bts so much time, because otherwise nobody attends

When you guys recognized the song from radio I almost cried. I'm not even going to lie. We worked so hard for so long to get BTS played on the radio and Boy with Love is their top radio single. We spent countless hours calling and reaching out to stations to play their music and have been rejected so much. It really makes me emotional to see how far they have come. Also guys, on 8/21 they will be dropping a single and it will be in english. I hope you and anyone that reads this call stream and request at your local radio station. Purple you!

and i wanted to point out. almost all who are new to kpop are asking this question "who is that?" (where sometimes camera focus on someone else between artist performance). It is most likely to focus on other artist who were present on that time.
To differ other artists from regular fans present on that time is to actually look at their outfit. Artist are always dress on fleek with makeup on ☺️

Imagine anyone performing after BTS in an award show.. LOL like... how can you top that kind of raw performance? Like everything BTS does is worth anyone's while. And Believe me when I tell you you'd only get THIS level of performance from BTS. And bu THIS kind of performance, I literally mean, this precise, This long, This well diverse and well done and this RAW. Like actual LIVE too. Alot of k-artist／grps (especially the Ones that gotten bigger or popular) would get extravagant on their settings, blings and get ups during such award shows appearances／performances but would give less effort on the performance, itself as they already know them being on stage is enough to get the crowd wild. Y'know... coz they already know they already popular and on such level. But with BTS, it's even still bizzare and overwhelming for even their fans (ARMYS) and other celebs／artists there to see them STILL giving their 100% every time . Regardless the time they're given to perform. They really make sure their performance would make your while. And they've been like that even back then when they're just rookies. Goes to show the level or passion, discipline and the kind of artists and performers they are. They aren't just in this music and celeb life for teh sake of getting popular and looking good and money, they're in it for the love of music and artistry of the music. Been listening and watching K-music and grps for 13 yrs and I can attest to the fact that BTS is infact DIFFERENT and unique amongst the rest in the Kpop industry. Both now and then . 👍✨ Reason why you can't really expect what you see from BTS, to see from the other grps aswell. There are alot of Other grps who does really amazing job on their music and performances too. (Don't get me wrong) I'm just saying, people need to avoid comparing BTS and other grps. (Vice versa)coz if you do, you're bound to set yourself up on a bad trap and end up getting somewhat disappointed.

I think what you are referring to is muscle memory, which comes with years of experience performing a task, they do practice a lot for these awards and every time they have a new choreo/performance, but I imagine by now muscle memory is very much involved for them to be able to do what they do. I'm always amazed by them, no matter how many times I watch their performances.

FYI In korea, the artist who got the last ending stage on award show like this, is just for the artist who doing great achievements for that year, and yeah they get the chance to perform 3-4 songs with a duration of 15 minutes or more, and that’s such a glorious moment for chosen as the last performance, because most of the awards shows is held at the end of the year.
And last year, BTS became the ending performance in ALL last year's award shows, and won all the grand prizes...

The reason why they dont breath hard when performing is because when they exercise they run on a treadmill and sing at the same time so they run and sing to build that up when performing
I have been to 2 of their concerts and you stand the whole time no matter where you sit. They put on amazing concert. It is so worth every dime you spend to see them live.
FYI, I heard that Jungkook sings while fast jogging on a treadmill. His voice is the most stable on stage.

And about the time of performance they used to have less than 10 mins before but now they are the main act of the awards shows so they get more performance time
In the past years there were 3 main awards (song, album, artist of the year), but then the MMA and MAMA decided to add another one so the most famous groups wouldnt feel left out. Well my guys, bts proceeded to snatch all 4 of them in a single night and it was the first time ever a group received all of them.

This is a well deserved 37 minutes for BTS to showcase their talents. Considering the fact that they were cut from the show broadcast when they were starting. That didn’t let their spirit down, they persisted and now became a true inspiration.
I like how you say nobody can perform after this, because they know this. And THAT's why BTS always performs last. As a rule, both for music shows, festivals and award shows in Korea, the lesser known artists will go first, and then it's more popular artists, then even more popular artists, and they finish the whole thing with the most popular group. They do this on one side to hype up the last few, most popular groups, but also to prevent fans leaving the venue mid-show. Usually, when it's award shows and festivals, fans are there for only one group, then they will leave. I've seen this first hand at summer festivals in Korea. They know BTS will have the most fans present since they're the most popular, so if they put them mid show, there won't be a public by the end of the show. That's why they put them at the end, because everyone or nearly everyone stays to see BTS. What really warms my heart is that when BTS started their agency was very small, so at some point when they debuted, they were the first group to perform, and now they're the last to perform, the big fireworks at the end of the evening. That is a level of growth that is SO RARE in kpop and they achieved it. From a fan who was there since debut, I am so proud of them and of how far they've come.

These days, BTS always, always closes the show. There was one point (or maybe 2) where they performed second last, simply because the other group is their senior, and boy did I feel sorry for that last group. Their live performances are so legendary because they put in the effort and their label is willing to invest a lot into it - and this has been going on ever since they debuted. Check out their performance at MMA 2015 and you’ll see what I mean. At that time, they were still on the rise, and stil they put on an unforgettable show to the best of their ability.

BTS followed Bruno Mars at the Grammys and killed it 😎 This is my favorite live stage of theirs. Usually they only have one main performer at these award shows. The best artist gets that honor. Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Guys BTS just announced today they are dropping new song from new album on August 21st! It will be entirely in English. Mark your calendar...BTS IS COMING!!!
lil side note: the single won't necessarily be on the new album. first its a single (stand alone). they're still discussing if its going on the album or not.
MMA show is one of the highest award show...the entire time of the show is around 3 to 3.30 hours...the other k-pop group also perform...but they have a smaller amount of time...as Bts is the biggest group among them...they are given plenty of time...the other group admire them and look up to them...if you watch 2013,2014,2015 mma or mama award bts didnot have plenty of time to perform coz they were not as big and popular as they are now...from 2016..they gain people's attention and they were becoming bigger and bigger..the rest2017,2018,2019 is history...no other group or singer perform such long periods like bts...but you know bts is bts...they are the greatest and biggest group not only in Asia,Korea but also in the world right now...they get an opportunity in every aspects as they deserve through hardwork and dedication...if you guys watch MaMa award bts performance,you will be amazed as well...I love your reaction to bts..I haven't miss every bts videos...you guys are the best...keep it up...💜
They never half bake live performances, I love this about them. They try to maintain the energy from start to finish, that's how you know they just really love doing this. you wont see any lazy legs on that stage where BTS stands.

To answer your questions:
-Yes, mma is an award show just like mama or The American music awards/bbma. BTS performed last at this show (and they did perform last, the last 3 years I think)
-At korean award shows the artists usually perform 2-3 songs and often mashups/remixes. Because bts always has amazing performances, they got more time I think (this was the longest performance from them at an award show)
-These guys that were shown are other artists. It’s basically just a short scene of their reaction to the performance (American shows do that way more than korean)
-It was live and the solo dances (and the Last song, dionysus was also mashed-up with their song N.O and dubstep elements) we’re remixes/special versions of some of their songs:

To give some background information: For them it’s quiet easy Now to perform one or two songs back to back (if the choreography is „easy/normal“) but when they first started they were exhausted after one song. So they really are fit and got used to it. However, performing so many songs back to back IS exhausting and after the performance they breathed hard and looked really exhausted (there are some fancams where you can see it)
I even read from a person that worked backstage, that all of them had oxygen bottles to breathe better and some people were assisting them while walking. We are again so grateful that they work so hard to show us an amazing performance. Of course we are worried when we notice how exhausted they are but at the end of the day we have to remember, that they do all of this for us and because they love performing.
BTS Are just such amazing artists, performers and people. I never thought I could love an artist this much until I met bts. I hope they stay healthy.

BTW some of this was pre-recorded so the experience for those watching it on tv or internet was slightly different than for those in the audience - the horses for example weren't on the stage with all the crowd around and such as that would have been too dangerous, scary for the horses, etc. they work with animals very carefully.
