Love your reaction, it was hilarious! Jari does look like an angry elf, but he's super talented and so is the rest of the band. Time or Loneliness are great songs by them.

vocalist lost 25% of his lungs to tuberculosis in the army (Finland has mandatory army service of 6-12 months)..

The drummer is Kai Hahto who is also the current drummer for Nightwish. At the Wacken concert it's still Jukka but anything after that such as Wembley, Buenos Aires, Tampere etc it's Kai on drums. He's still involved with Wintersun too as far as I know but Wintersun takes ages to release anything.
These truly are the coolest guys on the planet to ever wear capris……
Half the band plays for Nightwish now. Well, Jukka is just temporary. Still awesome though.
The bass player isn't stoic, he's Finnish. lol! And yes, it's overwhelming at the first listen. 'Time' from the same studio session would've been a better introduction to the band. 'Eternal Darkness' is even more overwhelming than this one. You'll need a nap after that one. I did. lol
BTW - Jukka, the base player, was just saving up for his ungodly background vocals….
Wintersun: The band so good that computers can't keep up. I am not kidding. Also Jari is basically the keyboardist as well.

Jari, the singer actually is a massive Devin Townsend fan. And as for a Dragonfirce audition, both Jari and Teemu would play circles around them, thery're insane
I think I've read that the lead singer and the composer Jari has said that he has done pretty much everything ready but the drums, he apparently told that he knew that Kai would do something he would never even think about. And that is some pretty hard pounding right there. I think they have done this live too (well this WAS live rehearsal, but...) so Kai came up with something awesome that he CAN reproduce live too. I fI could do that double bass drumming, I'd be having cramps and be exhausted after two minutes of this song!
Your comments are hilarious! Jari always reminds of one of those Night elves from WoW tbh😂 His talent can't be human, that's for sure! He's the one who composes and arranges all of the music. Please do "Time" from the same rehearsal session next! 🤘🏻
"It's almost too much going on". Yep, it took me a couple of listens to digest this. Now it's one of my all-time favourites.
