Since you did a Megadeath video, can you PLEASE do some Iron Maiden? (Preferably Aces High). I also wanted to thank you for being such a great guitar teacher over the years!
How do i get that sound i can fiddle with my amp to get something similar but when im picking that awesome redbone sound but when im using the chords the chord d chord and e it sound like to much distortion i dont know much on how to get similar to martys im a newbie btw
Best online guitar teacher period. Such a cool dude who breaks everything down step by step. Love your diversity in music and always cheerful disposition. Keep it up Marty🙏🙏
Dude that's funny as hell I was just talking to my girl about this like man I'm trying to learn how to do this play this song but it sucks because there's no Marty shorts version of it so this other guy just sucks compared to Marty shorts for teaching guitar
Marty, I remember watching your videos almost 10 years ago, being 16 years old, and I absolutely loved your lessons and the way you can show and teach things. Now when I'm older I don't have as much time for playing I wish I had but I'm still coming back now and then to listen to you and maybe learn a lick or two. Thank you for being there for all this years.
This video made me realize the progress Marty has helped me make. I didn’t have to pause once! And the chord progression for the chorus is all power chords and I was able to recognize that just on that shape. Thank you again for all the help and progress Marty.
@@Russellsauceim sure youve figured out by now, but if not, you just tune each string to the flat version of standard tune, use the fender tuning app and select down half step
Hey mr. Marty man just wanted to let you know I appreciate all you do man I’ve been following you for about 10 years just wanted to say thanks man you’re awesome
Marty my man!!!!!!! Thank you for all your online teachings I’ve only been learning for about 40days now I couldn’t do this without watching my first video of yours when I did this has changed my life In so many ways that I’m still here breathing today for that Thank You Marty
Such a fun song to play. A really enjoyable way to play this song (that really only works for this song) is to tune half step down drop the low e to a d and get that steady bass line going on that d and play out the whole song in a bluesy way using dominants. For the chorus play the same chords but inverted with the roots on the higher register of the guitar, and then you can mimic the chorus verses with licks while making the chorus sound more full. I tune it the way I mentioned since the song is in the key of D flat/C sharp. I know the D isn’t tuned to a C# but it still works lol
Why is it every single time I go to look for a lesson on a song and there isn't one on youtube Marty makes one about that song the next week. He's reading our minds.
Magical.. I feel like I commented of this before but it’s like when life imitates art with all your finger/paintbrush movement! Keep up the great work! I’ve learned a lot from you sir!
Yay Marty! I love that retro sound of this song, like stuff I used to hear when we'd drive by a park when I was little and people were playing, and just chilling out at the park picnicking and picking.
Started my music career in 8th grade first watching smells like teen spirit tutorial you made. Now a senior in high-school still learning and loving guitar. Much Appreciation to you Marty.!
