    RUclips TV is an amazing streaming service for watching live and local TV. But did you know that they actually encourage and allow sharing of your account with up to 5 other people? It's such a great feature that I decided to create this complete guide on how to share RUclips TV with friends and family. But stick around till the end where I'll explain what to do when members living outside of your Home Area get locked out by location restrictions. You'll definitely need that information.
    To to add a new member to your RUclips TV account, the main requirement is that the person you're adding has to have a Gmail email address. That's mandatory! But it's also free to get a Gmail address if they don't already have one. Now, sign into your RUclips TV account on Chrome or Firefox. Click on the icon image at the top right of the screen and then click on Settings. On the popup menu click on Family Sharing. Then click on Manage. On this screen I can see my profile as well as one other person I've already added. But if I want to share RUclips TV with another person I'll click on the button that says Invite Family Member. On the next screen, I'll type in the Gmail email address of the person I want to share my account with. Now click on the confirmed email address or account that shows up in the search. Then click Send. When I exit out I can see the pending invitation and the expiration date when the invitation will be automatically cancelled.
    At this point, the person you sent the invitation to will get AN email from Google. The recipient just has to click or tap on the Accept Invitation button. And then they'll be able to sign into RUclips TV on any computer, phone, smart TV or other streaming device. And that’s how you share your RUclips TV account with others.
    Ok, now that I have other users on my account, the cool thing is that every member will be set up with their own DVR and viewing history. For them, it's exactly like having their own account. Nobody has to share passwords and no data is passed onto the other accounts.
    As mentioned before, RUclips TV allows you to add 5 other people to your account, but there are limitations. Only a total of 3 devices can stream RUclips TV at any one time… including your own. Also, shared members don't have to live in the same household.
    But if one or more of your shared members live outside your home area, they'll lose complete access within 3 months of activating their guest account. This is known as a location lockout. When that happens, I do have a workaround that will help them regain access again. It's a temporary fix and you'll need the Gmail address and password from the shared account. To restore access, you the account owner will need to be in your home area. Then from your computer, go to tv.youtube.com and log into the shared user's account with their Gmail and password. Now just watch a couple of minutes of programming then sign out. And that's all you have to do to reactivate a location restricted account. That way the shared member won't have to travel back to the home area to restart their service. Google's location check will happen every 3 months so this process will have to be repeated. But here's one more thing to know. You don't have to wait until an account has been locked out to do this location fix. You can actually log into the shared member's account anytime within the 3 month period to reset the location timer. But they'll get a notification long before they're locked out.
    And here are some final notes. Invited members don't incur any fees. Billing remains the responsibility of the account owner. So if you have several family members sharing an account, RUclips TV is actually a great value. I'm currently sharing with 2 other people and have never run into a limit on too many devices streaming at the same time. Plus it helps that they're in different time zones. But I've successfully helped maintain their access without losing service. I hope this guide gives you understand of how RUclips TV sharing works.     Why does it link them to my photos, and drive. They have there own gmail, google photos, and drive. I dont esnt them having access to my stuff? How do you fix that?

      Did you share your account using the Invite method within the RUclips TV website? Don’t share your own Gmail account/password. If you do anyone you give it to will have full access to your account including your email, docs, purchases, Google Play, etc.

    I excepted the invite and i'm showingup in the family sharing but RUclips TV still wants me to create an account and pay of service

    Please help- I’m listed on the account t on my phone and my moms tv- do I have to be logged in as her on my RUclips tv at home? When I try it says she’s not logged in and won’t let me log her in

    How does the family manager share an additional package to members? My wife is the family manager and just added me (I accepted the invite). She has NFL Sunday Ticket, but it does not appear on my membership. When I click "How do I watch this?" it says: "You have access to the same networks and packages your family manager does. Ask them to add any additional networks or packages you want to watch and/or use." How does the family manager add/share this with me? Thanks.

      That is one part of the sharing I’ve never dealt with. I don’t subscribe to additional services on RUclips TV so I’m not sure how it’s done. But it can’t be difficult to do. But the message you posted makes it sound like you should be able to access everything the main account holder has subscribed to. There’s a page to manage users. Maybe it’s there. Or on the page that lists the premium services she subscribes to. Sorry I’m not more help on this.

    If I share my RUclipsTV with 3 family members can each one of them stream in 3 separate devices and can I still stream in 3 separate devices?

      The answer is no. Only 3 simultaneous streams total are possible at one time between all devices/users.

      ​@@TheRenderQdoes this change if you have the 4K Plus that unlocks unlimited devices? I understand it is only for those 5 people on the family plan but can everyone watch the same program at once under the unlimited plan and not the base plan?

    what does "Home area" mean? is that considered the same state?

      Your home area is the region that you live in. It’ll be the areas around your zip code. It could mean half your state or your entire state. But out of state is definitely not in your home area. Let’s say you live in Denver. All the cities/suburbs around the Denver area would be your home area. I’m not 100% sure but all of Colorado could be in the home area as well. Sorry I don’t have a better explanation. But I hope this helps!

      I hope I can answer your question. I moved three hours away from my family and when I log into my account using my computer or Roku it recognizes the location at my family residence when I visit. I get a notification asking "Are you traveling?" and another one I can't remember at the moment. This was the same process when I went to Hawaii. As far as your parents location, I am not sure if there is a work around. I think it is by GPS because of the agreement we signed.

    Is your video still relevant? I am sharing as a family member. My sister has the account in her home area. She is trying to sign in for me from her Ipad. She has been able to log into my account, but all she can see is asking for which service she wants under my account. Your video shows that it should go right into youtube channel and she could watch for a couple of minutes and then sign out as me. Your thoughts?
