It was 15 years, and they really put in the work, Jensen Ackles stated in 2023, that while filming (SuperNatural) him and Jared Padelecki (Sam), had to work (Act) over 50-60 hours a week every single week for 15 consecutive years in order to perform each scene in each episode of supernatural throughout all 15 years/15 season/328 episodes, and they also had to make sure that they physically kept in shape, and couldn't miss scheduling, one time Jared broke his arm in an unrelated matter back in season 4 of Supernatural (2009) and even though he was injured he had to film for 4 entire months (12) entire episodes while he was injured and had a cast on, Jared stated, for me it wasn't that much of a problem, luckily the director was smart enough to write That Sam was in a dangerous predicament that caused him to break his arm.

Or more accurately maybe instead of them breaking the fourth wall by acknowledging the audience. Instead they’ve entered the the fourth wall but they don’t acknowledge it lol.
