I know a lot of people have done this video idea but I still wanted to do one too

This video is for anyone who supports bi dean. It’s for anyone struggling with their identity and finding a character to help them through that. It’s for anyone who feels alone and like no one like them is represented in their shows. It’s for anyone who’s been confused with who they are or made to believe it was wrong when it wasn’t. It’s for anyone who realizes how important something/someone like this is. It’s for anyone who didn’t struggle because they found characters to relate to and feel normal. It’s for anyone who feels it’s too late in their life to come out when it’s not. It’s for anyone just recently finding out who they are. It’s for anyone who wrongly believes being anything other then straight compromises your masculinity. If you don’t agree then that’s okay this isn’t about you I’m not trying to make everything gay or whatever you may think the “homosexual agenda” is it’s about the thousands of people out there who maybe were helped in some way by this, it may seem stupid and absurd to you but their feelings are real and valid and this is for them.

Thank you for this, I don't really have a friend to talk to and I want to come out to my dad but I don't know how and I recently watched the finale and it broke me. I feel so worthless and so alone. I need someone but there is no one bc I live in a homophobic country, too. So, yeah...sorry for ranting.
@@zhulimoon46 I live in a homophobic country too!!! Ahh I wanna come out so badly but am so scared too!! Might I mention that I am Muslim too, so that makes it a 1000x more harder to do that. So I feel your pain and just know that accepting who you are as a person you want to be or who you feel most comfortable with is way more important than coming out, it takes time.
The fact that you could put this together without having to use a Destiel scene goes a long way to help back the point.
Stfu destiel is canon now and this would be better if Cass would be here

I suppose one could make an argument that it's the show saying Dean is socially awkward and it just comes off like this. But it just feels too constant to be the case. Plus, he only reacts this way with men. Even when he met (and banged) a literal ex-pornstar, he didn't fangirl and get all flustered the way he did with people like Dr. Sexy.

So how do you explain that? Erik Kripke himself stated that he based Dean off a bi character and he was written that way.
Also, on screen you don't see Dean sleeping with many women actually and he has winked at and checked guys out on the show later on.
Dean is the most bi male character I've ever seen on tv, no one can change my mind coz I have eyes, it's not about a cute ship, it's about a closeted bi that isn't allowed to come out of the closet, so disappointing.

The 'why do all these people keep thinking we're gay' line especially always stood out to me because it's exactly the sort of thing a closeted person would say. Sam didn't even care, he immediately dismissed it, but it was still on Dean's mind even that long after it had happened. He was still panicking about being assumed gay after the like 10-30 minutes it took to get settled into their room. We've all been there, we all know how it works. He's trying to deflect by pointing it out, bringing it up again so he can talk about how weird it was because 'wow that was weird huh and definitely not true!! It’s wild to me that shows like this don’t just pull the trigger. Someone is clearly writing this character to be bi, but the show itself prefers to leave it as subtext. I think if this show was starting today he'd be written as explicitly bi hands down
I think what it boils down to is that Jensen Ackles wasn't comfortable playing a gay character specifically a gay character that is in a relationship with a character played by a longtime friend whom he worked with most days. I'd totally be terrified to have to play lovers with a longtime friend, especially one who's friends with a lot of your friends and who's significant other is friends with your significant other. Too many risks to friendships that way in fear of catching feelings or just being incredibly uncomfortable and awkward.
It'd be totally different if they knew from the beginning that this was what the story was going to build to and this is a key part of who the character is. If they auditioned for a role knowing upfront that the character is gay or bisexual then it'd be much less complicated I'd imagine, especially if the lover is played by someone you are just starting to get to know.
I don't think Jensen Ackles should be accused of being homophobic because he was uncomfortable playing this character as bi or gay because it'd involve romantic scenes with a longtime friend. I imagine if Misha and the character of Cas was a woman but all the same circumstances of having the same friends and knowing each other a long time, that it'd feel equally uncomfortable and risky to the friendship.
I don't think he should be shamed for wanting to prioritize the friendship outside of the show and arguably keeping the chemistry consistent in the show.
Dean is so far from straight, it’s not even funny. He got a goody two shoes angel to fall in love with him, break the rules repeatedly, and it’s like what more evidence is needed? None I tell you. None.

To this day I do not know HOW they directed the Dean's reaction to the Aaron/"eye magic" thing without expecting us to think he was bi. Like, just imagine if Aaron tried to flirt with Sam instead? 7:00 It's actually very common to use the lightning on scenes to foreshadow something on a character. And I've definitely seen plenty of foreshadowing of sexualities via the lightning of a bar/disco (?). The most common one is the bi flag since it's the easiest to recognize and make.
7:33 of course this goes deeper than things about his sexuality, but it plays a part here. It's not subtle if you take all of the many previous scenes into account.
