They really started leaning into the comedy side the further you watch 😆 The first few seasons were freaking scary and then they started doing the joke episodes, the suicidal teddy bear, the Groundhog Day one, the freaking fanfic musical. The Scooby Doo one....
@@ArianaCapraro yeah, the first season had an especially raw feeling to it. Skin and Wendigo are probably my favorite lol Dean was still funny as hell even back then though.

After s3 it became a comedy-drama, no horror at all. It was still enjoyable but not the masterpiece the first 3 seasons were
I love how Sam is trying to fight off and invisible guy, Dean walks in and automatically assumes his brother is going crazy like with all the stuff they see why did he not automatically believe him
I think they did that to show us how they react when they are still ahlf asleep, like, Sam's brain does not function and Dean apparently forgets that if someone says they are fighting the invisible man it might just be true

@@lilypainter666 yes honestly 🤣 I'm covered in supernatural tattoos and I was wanting a funny dean quote instead of another picture so I went with I like to think it's because of my perky nipples. I tell you my tattoo artist couldn't stop laughing while doing it she was using it in all made up sentences 🤣🤣
Two of my favorite parts are when Dean gets scared by a cat in the episode "Yellow Fever", and the other one when he takes his pants off screaming "PUDDING!", that one was a masterpiece 🤣

mine are sam and dean trying to act in 'the french mistake' and the sequence of dean dying followed by 'heat of the moment' playing repeatedly in 'mystery spot' (if i had to pick single scenes--i just love those episodes)

The humor made the horror palpable. It also kept us coming back for more. It distinguishes SPN from any other shows in this genre and gave it longevity.

“Everyone” needs to learn that. If it’s hard to hear what’s being said, anything in background is way too loud. Some professional sound engineers don’t even understand that.
@@karaed1ts I am a cinema major, and when we learned about sound design and editing, a good rule of thumb is to have dialogue between -6 and -18 dB and music should be -24 to -30 dB. idk what editing program you use, but when looking at audio levels it should have numbers on the sides in negatives. Id say that cause the version Mark Pellegrino did was too awesome. Perky (not sure if this is the right word to use lolol) and playful, with splashes of evil and mischief coming off every word he says
That's why this show is so good, it has literally everything. It's every genre.
And this barely even touched on anything before Season 5. There were some episodes there that are just pure comedy from start to finish.
