The classic rock rabbit hole is DEEP, my friend. Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd were GOATs but they inspired a ton of other bands to create songs of the same quality. The result is two decades with literally hundreds of amazing songs (the 60’s and 70’s). Bands like Boston, Steely Dan, and Supertramp are just a few examples. Don’t take my word for it, your other subs will surely concur.
My recommendation for your next new discovery band from that era: “FM (No Static at All)” by Steely Dan. I recommend listening to the studio version first before watching the live performance.

It's ironic because one reason he drank so much on the day of his death was a crisis of confidence in his abilities as a drummer just before the were about to tour again. Maybe he felt his alcoholism had got too strong a grip on him and was beginning to impair his abilities.

Totally agree. I saw them do it live in '77, and it was awesome as hell with the light show timed with all their songs, and to hear/see them live for a change. But studio versions of various bands are all that most of us heard played on radio or records/LPs back then, until they came to town. Reactors should do studio hits first, then live versions later to compare.

Now just imagine you're a 16, 17 year old kid. You take your hard earned, at $2.10 an hour in 1975, part time job money and plunk down $13.98 for a DOUBLE Zeppelin album. Physical Graffiti was a double, take it home and put it on the turntable. Plug in your headphones and let it play. The sad thing is that about a year after this was filmed Zeppelin would be no more upon the death of their drummer John Bonham. Been a fan of Led Zeppelin since the first album and still am 50+ years later.

Whole Lotta Love...live MSG 1973. Yeah, Robert Plant was the mold for Rock God....so many tried to copy...some were excellent. But there is only one Robert. It would be interesting for you to watch or react to that same song from their reunion concert in 2007, when Plant was 59 and Jimmy was 62. John Bonham’s son Jason took his dad’s seat at the drums and killed it. The entire two hour performance is AMAZING. 20 million requests from around the world for the lucky 18 thousand seats in the O2 Arena in London for that event. Everyone on the “A” List in London wanted to be there. Dave Grohl of The Foo Fighters has spoken of that night in interviews... If it doesn’t “offend” you to watch older guys (some young folks cant’ stand the thought that their icons, if they don’t die, do age..) then I would highly recommend you watch it. Or at least Kashmir. Man, they’re tight. And Robert’s voice is still great.

Based on a song by two blues legends about the great Mississippi flood in the early 1900's that triggered the mass migration of black people out of the South to the North. Plant's harp kills it and Bonzo's drum is the most sampled drum track in history.

Any rock band, worth a damn, that came after LZ, was heavily influenced. This was good, but the studio version is crisper and you can hear the multi-layers and Joneses keyboards. Also Robert Plant was amazing, but his voice is way past its prime here. Got to give it to Bonzo. He worked his ass off and stayed on top of his game right to the sad, bitter end.

Wish videos focused more on John Paul Jones, it wouldn't be the same band without him. He's a very unassuming man but he was just as great in his craft as the other three.

I believe this is from Knebworth. I love what Jimmy Page is wearing! The whole look from In through The Outdoor. The music of course is incredible. Their live performances were really hitting a zenith and then the crushing death of John Bonham. What could have been.

I am working my way through your videos. I just love your reactions and how you intro them, enjoy the whole song and then react. I have been watching reactions to get me through the pandemic and yours are excellent. I just found myself watching your face for reaction more than Robert Plant and Jimmy Page and I never, ever thought that would happen! Especially impressive being you have a music background but don't stop the videos to opine with your expertise which I found very irritating in many reactors. Usually I click off halfway through. Thanks again!!

Let me take you there. I’m there. You should start with their first album and react to each song in order and work your way through their discography. Cause it’s all good and much is great. You’ll get to see how their styles changed but the quality didn’t. Otherwise you’ll be bouncing all over.

Pink Floyd will need to be addressed in your ratings. You'll also want to know of the origins of the band's name.

You know, it’s counter-intuitive, but the version of Kashmir from the 2007 O2 concert is as good if not better. Plants voice is actually BETTER....JPJ and Jimmy are on point. Jason fills his dad’s chair and does him proud. I would suggest you do a comparison
