Musicians can hear every instrument and know that something is wrong with it even if they weren't directly looking at it. I've been a drummer for 10 years-ish and I can tell you when a mic falls while I'm playing.
Exactly Heightens your other senses. I suffer from Migraines. My hearing is very Sensitive and Heightened. I can hear sounds my Son & Hubs don't hear. Most annoying is dripping water, can hear it dripping 3 rooms away. They both know it drives me batty, yet still refuse to make sure, it's not dripping . Also have Heightened sense of smell.

I have an uncle who is legally blind, he has canes and needs to be led about places he’s not familiar with but in his home town, he’s known for going on walks alone with his cane, he can see figures/ shadows. He wasn’t always blind. He became blind in his early adulthood. But we always loved going to visit him, he’s old now but he was full of wisdom and good dad jokes. Always remember our shadow or voice. He’s my dad’s best friends dad. When we lived in NC he’d be visiting his family and we’d go see him, sometimes we’d hit the sweet potato field and he’d walk and pick potatoes with us when the farmers allowed gleaning.
