Steve doesn’t understand that traction control is built into the tune lol. That’s why it’s laggy from a dead launch. You can physically hear the traction control working it’s ass off on those launched runs lol.
There’s some things I would try before writing this car off. 1. T1 race development is the best in the business. They build amazing cars and have a fantastic reputation. The car itself is solid. I would try disconnecting the battery as I have also had the 1-3-5 issue. 2. It may have been in the highest map but it wasn’t putting it down at all. Not even close. With motec the traction control is built in to the tune for a lack of a better term. Motec adjusts the boost/timing and many other things that depend on tires, and road condition. from the looks of it you were on a crappy road which is why it didn’t feel crazy. 3. That motor setup needs some rpm. I don’t know the exact rpm the limiter is set but I have seen these cars with similar builds rev to 8500+. That’s where all the boost is. 4. And finally please put some wheels and tires on it. I’d recommend a 17 or 18 inch Beadlock with some et street r’s. This car needs a real tire to actually put the power down. Right now the car is only limited by the tire choice. With the right tires and revving the car out you will be absolutely blown away. It’ll be fast enough to scare you…I can promise that. Overall the car just needs some minor changes and it will be a whole new animal. If you want to feel the true speed of the car as it sits roll into it at 100mph and let it go from there. Until the car has a good tire on it, it will never feel truly crazy. The car has so much more left In it. Just give it a chance with a good wheel and tire and I promise you’ll fall in love.

Boost by gear and on 20’s your wastage in 1st - probably 1000hp +/- Running 20” R888 no chance motec is putting down full power in 2-4. You will be spinning all the way. Get some drag radials or a 15” conversion and see what it really does. Be safe.
That is the safest Looking 2000+ HP tune I’ve ever seen. Whoever you had tune it really didn’t want to kill you. I’ve been in a 1800hp GTR and it is WAY more insane than your 2000hp. But that is exactly what you want. It’s actually putting down all that power and you could come down south and wax some ass in that car FoSho!!!👍👍🤟🤟
What’s up y’all. I own the Silver GTR with the orange wheels that came to the Lombard meet. Also own a few other GTR’s. This video had me dying because I pretty much agree with everything 😂. It was hilarious seeing it from a first time GTR driver. 😊 1. There is a lot of lag because of the huge turbos. You weren’t brake boosting it from a stop (launch control) and I don’t blame you because those r888’s woulda just spun, so that is why you felt even more lag. I would highly recommend some 17” beadlocks for the back and 18” radials for the front! 2. With these built cars, you really gotta use all of the RPM range. Stock rev limit is at 7k and that’s what it looked like you were maybe shifting at, which is probably why you didn’t feel all the power. Let her rip all the way and once she build up the boost, you’ll feel a whole different animal! 3. I’ve had that 1-3-5 problem before while driving 😂 it sucked! I was nowhere close to home either. What I ended up doing was disconnecting the battery and letting everything reset and it was fine after. It probably just threw a weird error code that got stored in and kept you in limp mode. 4. I’ve driven different super and HyperCars as well. The GTR is great if you’re a speed head and want to be the fastest. If you don’t care for that, you’re probably better off with something else lol. I love my GTR and wouldn’t trade it for anything other than a TT v10. Great video and I hope y’all keep it, get some slicks, parachute, and decimate everything on the streets! It's essentially a built drag car, the reliability isnt going to be there especially when it's being flogged 20x in a row with no cool down time. This car is literally for the guy that has the shop that built it backing him when he goes out to race it. It's really not meant to be daily driven in the 2k hp map. Either way its cool asf. Not many people can say they have a 2kwhp gtr.
I would not blame the company cause a lot of people that tune their cars to this capacity keep 2-3 spare engines laying around in case one blows up and the same with the gearbox really. Great video btw.
manually shifting you are lossing boost between gears, because of the massive turbos you need to stay on the gas in auto. but also at the stop start hold the gas while breaking to build the boost and then it will launch like a rocket

It's an inspiration for my newly acquired GTR. Mine is a bit rare being one of only 26 made with the Nismo engine. Just posted a video of mine doing a baseline dyno before I modify anything. Made way more power than the stock advertised 600hp. Now I need another 1500hp to catch up.

I think the gtrs constant flames are kinda insane to watch but I think when you get the 765 to SPIT it fucking rips man .. just the GTR constantly flaming is sick
Chiron has bad traction and launch control. It heatsoaks really fast and makes LC inoperable until it cools down. In real life, Chiron, SS, divo all run high 9's and low 10's Plaid baby ⚡🔥🚀🇺🇸
My mate has a 1000hp GTR! It seems everyone I meet with one has that! Lot of bs around these cars and that thing certainly isn’t mad enough to claim 2,000hp, take a look at a 2,000hp doorslammer, will that GTR run a 6 on the strip? I’m not thinking so, and you’d be hanging onto it a lot harder if it did! You’ll be telling us it does 300mph next! 😂
A month ago Carwow raced a 1000hp GTR vs Ferrari SF90, the transmission overheated as well but didn't blow up... Stradman's GTR is working fine now, I think it's a matter of configuring the right transmssion for that amount of power!!!
So here's my thought; First off, the clutch packs on GTRs are notoriously fragile even with built transmissions. Trying to do a low rpm high gear rolling anti-lag is probably what fucked the car up. It most likely ruined the clutch pack assigned to 2-4-6 (Dual clutch is 1-3-5 and 2-4-6 between 2 clutches) especially because he was on the highest torque map. He should've been in a lower gear in the upper rpm range. Side note, TC is probably a contributing factor to the issues he had launching the car, most tunes keep TC available so I'd say he just forgot to turn it off or wasn't told he had to. P.S. If you're reading this, you need to sit on the launch control a little bit longer to build boost in the higher maps, your head unit displays current boost levels so ask the tuner what the map should see on launch and get off the brake after you see that boost (+- a few lb for elevation/weather)
Well, if you take a car with around around 600hp and put 1400hp more into it, you really shouldn't whine if the transmission breaks. No one can give you a guarantee on the transmission above 1000hp and you put 1000hp more into it......
people need to understand that this is now a pure dragcar, the driverrain and engine is build too do that and nothing else! and in this case i think it was a driver error, you can’t do that kind of a start with this extreme car. make tension on the drivetrain and launch it properly, that jerky start kill any transmission
Coming from experience form motec sounds like the tuner included safeties in the tune. When the motec senses slip it will cut timing to “save” it from losing traction. Send it to The shop Houston and let them tune it it will be a more drivers car then. Or possibly ask the tuner to get rid of the safeties for you 🤷🏻♂️
Don’t widebody the gtr , if anything , make it more of a drag build . It’s got the power , now give it proper wheels and tires . Shoots on the back , one piece front end , better interior and so on .
U or whoever drove it prior Busted the transmission by being in auto. (My best hypoth). To add, it was most likely already broke cause no one advised on shifting with paddles only…..Built transmissions should never be shifted via auto unless traveling long distances….here’s the the way to drive a built tranny …..gotta get into your gear via paddle, engage a good rpm, and make your hit--and if it’s tuned correctly u don’t need to touch the paddles once shes off cause it’ll shift automatically so hang on!
Currently building my gtr with a 1300x kit ! The stage 5 kit is absolutely amazing man congrats on that but I want to keep mine as a street car and still go on the track and run mid to low 8’s is fine with me !

the reason its slow in 1st gear in the 1400 map is because it is probably boost-by-gear so it doesnt blow the tires off immediately

Well, actually the Bugatti's launch control system is stupid. It doesn't work properly every time even with the FFF collection guys.
