Hey, folks! So as I explain in all the reactions in this batch (on-camera, I mean), don't worry, the majority of my reactions for the rest of this month will still be "normal" reactions, but I wanted to get a nice head-start on some holiday reactions with this session. :)
I like that smacking percussion and synth line on top during the intro, but then the sounds brighten right up. And I agree that it is a more straight forward rendition of the song but for the synth sound of the Eurythmics. It's Annie cutting loose with her vocals that really sets this one apart! She is one of the all-time great singers!
I really love Christmas music. I know it's a big joke with many people, but there's a reason so many people put out their versions of the classics. This is a nice version - thanks!!
Isn't that a nice version ❤️ I first heard it when I bought the "A Very Special Christmas", but in 1993, since I had no idea before this album existed. I grew up in East Germany and had no access to Western CDs until the wall came down. Now you can imagine what I spent my "new" West German money for - nearly only to buy all the 80s stuff I had missed!

Perfect!
Great cover of this classic Christmas song.

Let's see how many Christmas Carols I know... 🤔 Not this one.
