Laurel Highlands Trout Fishing - May 2024

Pennsylvania has a lot of trout streams and two days of license free fishing to sample them (the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend and July 4th), so took a run up to the Laurel Highlands to test my luck. In addition to scenery and wildlife, I did manage to find at least a few trout in all of the bodies of water I fished. I concentrated on the Westmoreland/Fayette County area and areas fished included Linn Run State Park and Kooser State Park, which just scratched the surface of the many trout streams and ponds in this area. I would definitely recommend a trip up or casting while in the area.

I hear you on the turkeys as this was the first one that stayed still for a bit. Might have helped that it was on a very deserted road and that I drove a bit past the bird before sneaking back to shoot the footage. Thanks for stopping by!
