Rappahanock Shad Fishing - March 2024

I went shad fishing recently on the Rappahanock River in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Typically I find the shad closer to the middle of the river and use a jig and spoon combination to reach them. However, the water was on the fast side so I ended up switching to two small jigs and casting to pocket water close to shore. I managed to get a few and also had a few interesting bird sightings as a bonus. I hope you enjoy if you go. The rivers are fast because of alot of rain lately 💦 You got nice big shad on jigs, man 🐟🐟🐟 Your bird footage IS necessary 🐦 Love the flying eagle 💛 and the cormorant swallowed the fish whole! Great shad fishing, Shore Fisherman❗️
