  • On average, hair grows 1/2 an inch a month. Or about 6 inches a year - which is what you should be retaining. This also accounts for routine trims.
    From May-August I gained a whopping 4 INCHES! 🤯 This was even after my quarterly trim a few weeks ago. Here’s what I did:
    ✨ Deep condition weekly: Great for colored hair or damaged hair. Restores hair’s resilience
    ✨ Monthly protein treatment: Extra strength treatment to bounce back from damage and protect against further breakage
    ✨ Quarterly trims: Holding onto dead ends will only hinder you. Yes it’s nice to have long hair, but I don’t want it if it’s not healthy. Make sure you get your trims done consistently - this also maintains your curly shape
    ✨ Weekly shampoo: Hair DOES NOT grow faster when it’s dirty. Weekly shampoos are needed to get rid of dirt, pollution, shedding, and much more. Oily scalps aren’t producing a healthy environment for your hair growth.
    ✨ Bonnet nightly: Protecting your tresses every night is key. You can opt for a satin bonnet for a silk/satin pillowcase
    ✨ Scalp massages: You can use a manual or electric massager during wash day to stimulate the hair follicles. You can also use a hair oil that encourages healthy hair growth for maximum results
    ✨ More Afros: I decreased high tension styles. Instead of slick backs of puffs all the time, I tried to switch out by wearing my hair out more often. Letting the fro free!
    ✨ Vitamins: It’s hard to get all the nutrients we need from our food. Incorporate a multivitamin to support your body’s health - which will support your hair & skin
    ✨ Water: You NEED water for every single function of your body. Water is hydration. Water is life. You should drink at least a half of gallon of water daily to detox your body and lower your body’s functions
    ✨ Fruits & Veggies: A well balanced diet is one of the most important things for your beauty routine. Why would you skin & hair love you if you’re feeding it fast food everyday? Yes treat yourself sometimes but balance and moderation is necessary

    Wait but hair only grows .5" a month lol?
    I just watched a few of her other videos back to back and no its not 4" in 3 months.
    Don't rush or mislead growth results, its discouraging because the average person may not have your genetics of faster growing hair.
    I grew 3.5" in 7 months - as the average person does, so if you dont grow hair like her genetically as fast, dont feel bad. Her hair routine is still great ❤.

      @ASmith-jn7kf Год назад

      How was the test conducted that determined that? Why would it be discouraging? Do you do everything she says??

    • @xXJade_AssassinXx

      @@ASmith-jn7kf Just look at her videos lol, her hair growth is standard. Theres no routine or product that genetically increases hair growth.
      Average growth is 0.5 a month. Its discouraging to say "my hair grew 4x faster than a normal human," thats impossible unless youre one of the very rare few with faster than normal hair growth.
      Just science and genetics 🤷🏾‍♀️
      Her routine is good, dnt get me wrong but her proclamation is click bait.
      We had to understand our hair scientifically to learn how to take care of it; black women tend to believe in the myth of faster hair growth, rather than the fact of hair retention.
      "Tests" lol - Im just a 4A black woman with mid back length hair, but what do I know 😂

      I see her hair growth and I concur about her but as for nothing increases growth, that isn't true. There are cultures all over the world that make it a practice to grow and sell their hair. Hair growth is external and internal and I don't think it has anything to do with genetics but about nutrition and care practices. Instead of repeating information, let science prove these things. Read the studies, how did they determine it was genetics?? What proof do they have??

    • @ASmith-jn7kf
      @ASmith-jn7kf 9 месяцев назад

      @@xXJade_AssassinXxscience?? How many people were in the study to determine hair growth amount? Did they all have the same, optimum nutrition, same hair care practices?? No. You don't really understand how these "scientific studies" are performed.

      This information is not new, this amount was determined as early as 1930s and late 1800s, because I have seen it myself in old science books. I want to know how they got they came to such conclusions.

      @@hashimali7111 ooo okay easy!! So my hair was at shoulder length but it’s been 4 weeks so it’s now at my elbow kinda ! I recommend drinking lots of water and eat eggs! Shower with cold water try hair growth oil and try hair growth vitamins!! And get good sleep! Massage ur hair time to time and use conditioner on your ends shower 2x a week use shampoo on ur scalp 2x and use a scalp brush!! It should leave ur hair shiny and silky! Try rice water for extra broth faster (this also helps your skin too!)

    I don’t want to be mean but I heard that when you trim your hair it’s not helping your hair it’s making your hair words and your hair will definitely not go that way since your hair goes on the top not from the bottom so you just cutting your hair please do not damage your hair and you don’t put any heat on it do not change your shampoo regular because you’re here gets shocked and you loose hair and do not show her after showering I definitely have two so if you’re like me and have currently care then use a wide brush But not the ones with the handles The ones that look like a rectangle

      Ah, gotcha. Thanks for clarifying. I am in my TWA phase and need some advice: My hair in the back is 4C and constantly dry. I also have high porosity hair, which is fine. I have no idea what to do at this point and l am tempted to just throw some braids in
