I honestly can’t believe no one at Pleasure beach resort is embarrassed. If I was Amanda Thompson I would not be able to set foot outside the front door! The place is literally dieing on its feet and they are hiking what is an already over priced annual pass fee, higher and for what? Honestly don’t blame you for not renewing next year, put the money towards fireworks next year, you’d get more pleasure in 5 minutes of fireworks than what this place could give you in a year! Roll on universal! Brilliant as always ❤
The place is a shadow of its former self and as a lift long fan of the place (Dan) it’s sad to see. No investment of a major attraction since 2018 isn’t enough to compete with other parks throughout the UK, especially with Thorpe Park opening Hyperia this year and Towers revamping Nemesis Reborn. I’d sell up if I was the Thompsons, get out while you can. Probably won’t happen though sadly. Thank you, glad you enjoyed the vlog. @@GingerAndBrown I find it really sad to be honest. The last time I was in Blackpool was the very early 90s, 90/91 but used to go to Blackpool regularly during the 80s! For me Blackpool in the 80s was at its best for me! You had amazing illuminations unlike the lazy, boring and quite frankly shameful effort they put on today! The piers had endless names staring at the various theatres on the end of the piers and best of all, the pleasure beach! There was non of this pass malarkey, the park had free entry, you could just walk in, and the rides were ticket basked, you’d buy a sheet of tickets and every ride was a various number of tickets! The place was rammed, it was ridiculously busy but the ride ops just swallowed up riders and spit them out, it was just run so silky smooth! Geoffrey and Dorothy must be spinning in their graves at what Amanda has dragged the place down to.
Another thing with the Pleasure Beach is they need to bring back the option to pay with cash for entry, food and merchandise. At least a third of people who come to Blackpool rely on cash to budget.
Potentially would help, though I think cash is phasing out these day’s, very slowly but it’s happening. I think enticing people in to walk around free of charge would persuade them to spend more, much like back In the 90’s or earlier. Not sure why that’s not a thing. Charging people to enter who aren’t riding isn’t fair

I don't know what you were expecting as an enthusiast going to BPB mid November after a long season of disappointed visitor reviews saying the exact same thing you just said! The majority of people have been saying the same thing since opening day; BPB is struggling, don't expect a good visit! I could literally post links off 6 of your peers videos saying exactly the same thing. So what do you do? Visit at the worst possible time to visit any theme park in the UK, after a long tough season, when lots of staff have left and rides need some TLC😂 It's only because the town is desperate for visitors that the park is open at weekends anyway. I'm surprised they've not just opened half the park, they used to.
Just expected more then half the attractions to be open on what’s been a busy weekend for the town, what with the markets starting, the illuminations being on and the draw of Strictly come dancing - don’t think it’s too much to expect the place to be up to some what of a fully operating standard when it’s closed for the other 5 days of the week. Extremely disappointing and a poor look for the park and full paying visitors. We’ve not really paid too much attention to other RUclipsrs videos about PB, but surely if the masses are complaining the park need to act on it.
I know some people don't like them but i don't find them much issue, i just screen shot the tickets. You should have renewed your passes when they were on sale for £100 😅 Going this Sunday so hoping ride availability it improved, everyone complaining about last week... 🤞🤞
@ I just don’t think they’re needed now, you don’t seen them anywhere else, they’re a thing of the past. It’s just more of an inconvenience if anything. Let’s hope for a better day on fireworks ☺️
@@spo-h4u it was around sept i think. Pretty soon after the announced price hike to £225. I had written off renewing for next session then for an email with a flash sale. £100 due the next 24 hrs. Then it was about £125 for a couple weeks, then about £150 until the end of the month.
This is sad to see and embarrassing, how can they justify opening a park with hardly any rides open? . I can understand why you wont be renewing your pass there have been no announcements or anything to tempt people Into buying or renewing a pass , i think Amanda Thompson just doesn't care she has given up , do you think it would be bette if someone else took over ?
Crazy isn’t it. To be honest even with all the attractions open we probably wouldn’t be renewing at the price they’re asking. I think it’d be best if someone took over but can’t see it happening. It’s a family run business that’s been around for many years, so much history ect. Just a shame it’s a shadow of its former self 😔
