Chris Stapleton has to be one of the most soulful singers of recent times. I grew up on 70s R&B and Soul music and Chris Stapleton is definitely in that league. I guess some people would call this "Country Soul", but I'm just calling it straight up "Soul" music.
I love the fact he's a very shy and humble man and is most often joined by his wife who sings backing vocals and offers moral support, she's a pretty decent singer in her own right 😊
He said he decided to drop out of college and pursue a music career after performing on the street corner for an hour and made $40. He was already performing as the lead singer for a bluegrass band called The Steeledrivers prior to meeting Morgane. He's also said he loves the attention he gets while live on stage. He's never suffered any form of stage fright. A RUclips myth that people started because maybe he closed his eyes sometimes while singing, or looking at Morgane WHEN she is on stage with him. I'm sure there are reasons for those. But it's not because he has stage fright or is shy...But whatever. People just make up stuff to sound important. And others run with it.
You need to watch Chris do" What are you listening to", he sings alone, no band, with a acoustic guitar in a small setting before a live audience> An amazing performance and a killer song! Give it a listen!
Chris is amazing! He’s done some collabs that I know you’d love. He and Justin Timberlake did a song together called Say Something. The video is done live and in one take. They also preformed Tennessee Whiskey and Drink You Away live at the CMAs. He also preformed with P!nk at an awards show, singing Love Me Anyway.
I’m a new fan of Chris Stapleton! Absolutely love this man’s voice, stage presence etc🔥🔥! You should definitely check out his cover of James Brown “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” w/ The Shadow Boxers [HD] One-of the best covers of this song!
You really, really need to listen to a younger Chris sing "Sometimes I Cry" live from The Bing Lounge. This is a masterclass in bringin' it! An early indication of his power. And after he blows your sox off, his quiet "Thank you." when he's finished tells you who he is. All that could be said about "Barely Alive" as well.
You will never, and I mean never, hear a song you don’t fall in love with by this man. I’m not a huge country fan, and I hate when he’s boxed into that genre because he’s so much more 🖤
YOU MUST do the Chris Stapleton-Justin Timberlake "Say Something" official video... they are singing in 1 take as they walk through a building. It will BLOW your mind.
Always do reactions to Chris live, except, "Fire Away," which has the only 'produced' video that supports his message. My opinion only, of course. And yes, very bluesy, is our Mr. Stapleton ... sometimes. 😉
Yes I agree 'Fire Away' should definitely be listened to with the music video, it's like a tragic movie 😭 combined with his beautiful singing is just gut wrenching
Pretty hard to put Chris in any category…country, blues, soul, pop… he is his own category. I really like the lives more than studio cuts…and that is a special talent as well.
🔥🔥🔥 damn Chris made me apologize to my daughter🫣 bc she took to country 🎶 and I told her I didn't raise her that way 🤭 but damn I hate when I have to back track or at least make more exceptions 😔
Hey Salv!!! Have you checked out Chris' new audio that just dropped? "It Takes A Woman"? Got a feeling this one will turn into a certified award!!!❤😊❤😊❤😊
You obviously are a lover of music. Open your horizon and discover the greatness of Country Music. This genre remains: True Musicianship; Songwriters; Storytelling; Vocalist. No Computers here. You would appreciate: The Morals and Standards.
@SalvoG please react to Chris’s performance “Devil Always Made Me Think Twice” live on Stephen Colbert show. I think you’ll like!! Also his live performance “Whipping Post” it’s 🔥🔥!! And yes Chris is under‘Country’ umbrella but he’s his own genre! Soul, blues,R&B, lil rock,Outlaw Country all in 1 amazing voice. He’s a living Legend! Great reaction! Thanks fren!
As far as I'm concerned, he and Stevie Ray Vaughan should always be listened to live. And if you are looking for a bit of a deeper cut, try Second one to know.

The rumor that Morgane was on stage as support, because Chris was nervous or shy, needs to be cut off at the knees because it was never true.

Incredible talent. Always think of him as B.B. King in a cowboy hat.
Chris is an Amazing guitarist!!!❤❤❤
Chris Stapleton has the BEST voice EVER…hands down! And he’s such a humble, down to earth guy! He deserves ALL the success, accolades & fame!

I would love you to react to the live version of Whipping Post by Chris, it's a great cover.
