@@markcavanagh73 had to have two outcome plans for the video..this one and one where at some stage through the whole process of security checks, flying and site visits it would taken off me..either way I was getting a SAK Saturday video out of it 😂 we had a brilliant time sun shined and packed a lot into the visit 👍🏻

I have a leatherman equivalent that has pliers and tsa did stop me to inspect but then let me go.

@@RenM908 they inspected mine but also happy enough to give them back.. in truth an individual tsa officer has authority to remove them despite being legal to carry and I’d prepared myself to respectfully accept it if that happened… didn’t want to be declined entry as wife might have been a bit cross with me 😂

haha a 'knife' without a blade?, sounds a bit of an oxymoron to me, & sort of defeats the purpose really, but still an interesting pocket tool, thanks for the review, although not for me, and i wouldnt even try take anything with any kind of sharp point (i.e scissors) through airport security as hand luggage just in case, (as you alluded to), and i'm unlikely to need it for the few hrs i'm on the plane anyway. @@Bob-ts2tu yes, interesting pocket tool and well within the rules of travel but as expressed, it’s all down to individual security personnel who can override the rules, but to be fair they all inspected t and handed over without issue.. It was a useful test and we did actually use the scissors while there.. as we only travelled with carry on luggage I couldn’t carry anything else, but if taking hold luggage it would be easier to take a traditional pocket knife. One thing for sure, it was a very appropriate review and test of the rules 😂

@@thecampingbiker791 glad it was ok, worth knowing, but all it takes is a customs guy to interpret things differently, deem it risky and confiscate it, and what ya gonna do?, argue with him that its within the law with a line of people queuing behind haha. maybe im being a tad paranoid, but when we went to austria a few years ago, one of our party, a 50yo nurse, had her fairly expensive small surgical scissors that had a sentimental value confiscated from her handbag that she forgot were in there, to her annoyance, anyhoo, i don't mean to argue, but it would be in the suitcase for many of us, and if no hold luggage not taken at all, im sure.
