Replaced my wife’s power steering pressure hose yesterday (03 Odyssey). Kept thinking to myself, Eric says “if I can do it, you can do it.” Sometimes yes, but it always takes 5 times longer than it should. I also cuss a lot more than you. Thanks for all you do! Always in awe of your skill.

Everyone is slow at first. After the first time it gets a lot faster, and from there there's nowhere to go but down. Speed is not indicative of skill, it's indicative of, well, you've not done it before!

U save my life, I had my 2016 compass junked for three weeks and this pandemic made everything impossible to get it service. My brother help me and we found that the gas pump was working yet not spark on the ignition coils. Your video was savior. We swapped the relay and on it was on the first try. In my case it was grim and dirt on the relays contacts. No sign of corrosion on the connections we tested all the relays and they all work, gave them a good clean.

Yes I grew up in Rockford ! My oldest sister worked there, during the ' 60's and '70's. She was much older than me , so I only saw her on occasion , but I remember her working with the vynal tops, she brought one home , to show us how they would go one a car!
I do remember that she did not seem to be happy, but being a kid it did not make sense.
My father told me that the '54 Belvidere he had then was made there, and I was amazed.
I left Rockford in 1977,and moved to Colorado, but every time I see someone talking about the old stomping grounds, i chime in.
      Have a good day everyone.

What I like to do in cases like this, just to get the vehicle inside, is I'll jumper power to one of the fuses that get fed power from the ASD relay. Such as Fuse32 as seen @2:12. They're nice and accessible and you'll bypass the relay all together.

The Total Integrated Power Module is SO totally integrated the idiots at Jeep failed to integrate 4 of the critical relays and instead put them in a ridiculous little extra box in a stupid location low in the engine compartment that gets wet and is hard to access. The box is less than a foot from the TIPM so it makes zero sense. Yet another reason to never buy a Jeep. The engineering is laughably bad in so many ways.

I have a Caliber and, after remembering your last go-around with that relay block, checked them last fall while I was replacing the driver's side headlight assembly. Pulled the fuel pump relay, one pin had green crusties where a control side pin should have been. I was pissed but at least found/fixed it before it failed completely.

@5:15 your test light with the red bulb. i had a horrible issue with one of those. it worked perfectly when the probe was aimed down. if i used it under the dashboard where the probe end was aimed up slightly. it was totally intermittent. it took me little while on this car that had previously been modified by morons playing whack a mole with the wiring. drove me nuts till i figured it out..

Relay panel is accessed through the fender shroud....and not through the top of the vehicle. So much easier to see what's happening by removing the fender shroud.

Got cover off was easier than thought now found corroded starter relay pin(classic problem with Jeep) and now need new relay and clean it up of corrosion and check wires and insert new relay. Anyone know best way to remove relay box from its bracket? Need to be able to get better access to inspect.

Leave it to Chrysler to place electronics(and grounds) where the wheels throw up the salt.

Informative video, but I'm technically impaired when it comes to new vehicles. I really just want to know where the fuse box is in a 2018 Jeep Compass Trailhawk. I can't find a fuse box in the cabin. I guess it's under the hood.

I'm really laughing out loud right now. Had a car come in the other day with the same problem. I didn't watch part 2 yet, but I have a feeling that you're going to find the wire corroded into that first relay, and Chrysler in their genius thinking decided to daisy chain all the other power feeds for the control size of the relays together. If one goes bad, they all go bad. Genius

I watch both parts and figured I’d ask as it gonna be to much work for me to fix the relay box. When you jump started her, did you leave the wires in place on the main relay to get from point A to B or can they be removed once the engine is running ? Also do the rad fans kick in or will I need to jump them as well. Trying to save me a tow bill, if I can get her to my local mechanic shop, then I’d jump the relays.
