I bought the waterproof formula because have oily lids and my face sweats during the summer. It still smudged all over my eyes-top and bottom. Heavy on the lids, and didn't hold a curl. I had a slight burning of my eyes too. Formula was very dry. I'm going back to the Telescopic Waterproof. I have very little smearing and smudging and the formula isn't dry or heavy. This is a no-go for waterproof!
Ok I know this sounds counterintuitive but hear me out. My lashes don’t like to hold curl either. With this mascara, and others that have a similar formula (sky high for example), I have found that my lashes actually end up looking more lifted if I don’t curl them. I do a light coat, wait until it’s not completely dry but a little tacky, and then go in with the second coat. Really pause at the top of the lashes as you comb through and HOLD the applicator at the top for a few seconds. This formula is very moldable and having that *almost* dry base layer, then going in and pushing the lashes up with the second coat and the wand really works for me. Plus I think my lashes end up looking longer, because somehow when the lashes aren’t curled to begin with, I’m able to get more product on the very tips of the lashes. The other thing you can do is wait until the second coat is close to dry and use your index finger just like the mascara wand to sort of push and hold your lashes up. I have some areas that are super stubborn and find I can just sort of push individual sections up and hold them there. The pressure and warmth of my skin help to mold and set that mascara in the shape I want.
I think the not curling works because for my lashes, if they are already in their (unnaturally) curled state, the product kind of has nowhere to take them but down, gravity just does its thing. But if they are down, I’m able to actually apply more pressure to push them up. 😂 No idea if I am making sense. But you should try it. I never curl my lashes anymore.
Heyy!! Thanks for the tips. I'll definitely give it a try. I think you're right using a lightweight mascara is a good way to start. It can't be a really wet mascara because it'll totally weight down my lashes. I think I'll try it with my judydoll mascara and then add more at the tips. I'll report back!

OMG! I am SOO glad u reviewed this! I bought it yesterday hoping it would liven up my aging eyelashes 😅. Haven't used it yet tho. Saving the debut for family get together tomorrow. Mine also tend to drop n aren't nearly as thick or as long as they used to be. Ur eyelashes looked GREAT. I have very high hopes for this mascara. Fingers crossed it works for me! @@AnaReczynski I really like it. I use it nearly every day. My daughter was the 1st to notice, she wanted to know what I did to my lashes 😂. She, n my neice, also bought it n they love it. Both use it every day. The difference is pretty noticable lol. Absolutely great mascara.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. I usually have the worst luck with mascaras. This one actually worked for me.
