As a UGA fan I was surprised I thought he would want to start and I just think Gunner will be the starter for 2025 Kirby is pretty loyal to the players who wait their turn
Kirby Smart seems to prefer lower heralded four-star recruits for quarterback over the 5 star recruit quarterback types. He chose Fromm over Fields and Eason. He chose Stetson Bennett over JT Daniels, and he chose Beck over Brock Vandagriff. I suspect Gunner Stockton will get the starting job in 2025.
Rashada showed up late for team meetings the week of the Arizona Wildcats game. He was benched the 1st quarter of that game. That will not fly at Georgia and I see him going back to the portal next spring.
For some unknown reason? Everyone not brain dead knows why UGA added another QB. Four guys are needed to run two practice squads. QB is the most important position. Did you question UGA grabbing Bennett as fourth string in 2021?
@@twinngonespinn On the on hand the guy contradicts himself. He does say "for some unknown reason" then proceeds to rattle off several reasons. Saying he didn't know was clickbait. Having an insurance policy in the age of wide open transferring is well..smart.
Every top program, SEC or not, should have at least four QBs on their roster. Even if they’re walk-ons, they are necessary. Texas has five, including two walk-ons, I believe.
Beck is likely going to the NFL after this season, so Georgia needs somebody to start after this season. Georgia may think Rashada's upside is higher than the likes of Gunnar Stockton and Ryan Puglisi, so it may be worth rolling the dice on Rashada.
Yeah Beck is a Senior so this is his last year at Georgia. If Rashada doesn't behave or isn't good enough Kirby will jettison him into the middle of the Atlantic. Not too worried tbh. Plus everyone always complains about Georgia's QB situation. We heard for 2 straight years how Stetson Bennett definitely wasn't going to be good enough and then he was.
@@twinngonespinn The issue with your comment, other than the malapropism, is that it's titled "GEORGIA JUST MADE A....MISTAKE," which is false. If you want to argue that Rasada did, that's fine, but saying Georgia made a mistake is asinine.

A Georgia doesn’t begin a season w/o 4 QB’s. If you actually listened to Smart’s PC’s, he’ll tell you what he wants on his team. He announced getting a QB from the portal in a post Spring PC.

Most fans are oblivious to it, but in prep circles Mike Bobo's rep for QB development is quite high. He will develop, and should he get into games he will do so behind an exceptional offensive line. Worst case scenario he doesn't win the starting spot, then like BV he spends a couple seasons being developed and then transfers to a place that needs a starter that's ready to get into the huddle.

He was hurt at ASU, hence little playing… Kirby got him to compete next year, if he wins the job it’s a good move, if he doesn’t win he transfers. It’s that simple in Kirby’s mind.
@@donpavia746 it’s ok because UGA isn’t paying him anywhere near $13 million like Napier promised him. Napier and one of UF’s boosters are the reason this is drama, not Rashada. Don’t promise things your NIL collective can’t pay.
