This Holiday Mansion, Super Coastal Barracuda ("Macadamia") was originally purchased at Oxbow Marine in Massachusetts ...spent most of its life cruising the Hudson River. I purchased it from a couple in Albany, New York, in June of 2011, we did a rehab on it and shipped it to Key Largo via truck in December of 2012. Enjoyed her for 5 years at Manatee Bay Marine in Key Largo and then sold her September, 2017

Amazing little houseboat! I had an old Morgan down at geiger key mariner...back in the "olden daze". I miss everything about it except the smell of laundry. I would never have thought of using the beer cooler to keep my dirty laundry. Beer was more important. And stop calling it the kitchen.
Good Channel! Looking forward to more content on boat slips in the Keys. We live in SE Alaska, very much a boating area, and enjoy both camping on our boat, or at a remote location only accessible by boat or floatplane. We're also nearing retirement age, (late-50's) and have a Ford 450 and nice truck camper based in Phoenix. A boat in the Keys (I had a 25 ton USCG Masters License for 10 years.) could be a good match.

A very nice crib you have there. Well done! If I had a rig like yours, it would be a winter home. Summers in The Keys are HOT, and in the evenings at Key Largo the mosquitos are out in force. What is it like sitting outside on your porch in the evenings? How does your AC perform in the summer?
What's really nice about a houseboat is when a really bad hurricane is coming, you just put the boat onto a trailer and tow the boat up to North Carolina for a few days until the storm finishes its path, then tow the houseboat back to Florida and park it back into the same spot.
This is amazing! My wife's grandfather actually has this same boat! Unfortunately it's in very disrepair after his health declining and a lightning strike screwing up the electrical system. Your video really makes me want to fix it up though!

The motors are not in great shape and I plan on removing them and using that motor compartment for storage. when I do this I'm planning on powering her with a small outboard. I think Lorilei charges $16 to cook our catch with 2 sides. Cat 1 hurricane I plan to ride out but a strong 2 or higher I plan on hiding her in the mangroves.
Hurricanes don't just suddenly appear and they have plenty of time to put the helm wheel back on, all it takes is a minute. I take mine off my boat to give me more walk room.
