I have a Campingaz Twister like forever now. As a non regular outdoor person I am still surprised how easy, affordable and hot that thing is. The amount of heat and duration on a CV300 is more than I need for a while to come. compared to all the super small foldable burnerst this is quite big and take up some space in the backpack BUT it is so easy to operate that I am willing to make the sacrifice there. For all these years I've never looked back to my old unit, some noname thing that could barely keep hands warm.
Hi mate, good video, just a quick one, with these canisters, once they’re opened (I.e you’ve clicked down and twisted the regulator) once you’ve finished cooking and turned off the gas flow and waited for it to settle, can you then take the regulator back off and pack the bottle and regulator away separately from one another for use another time or is it that once the bottle is opened, the regulator has to stay connected until you’ve used all the gas. Thanks again mate
Hey my friend first of all thankyou for taking the time to watch this video, interesting question ..there are two available cannisters that camping gaz have ..the first one is their oldest one which is a pierce and puncture cannister...it isn't used much now as in reference to your question once its pierced the cannister has to stay connected to the burner until fully used ..this was their original cannister and burner set up and can be found in models dating back 40 yrs .. Their current model is the system I use here and one that you will readily find al.ost everywhere ..its a click fast system..you are able to connect and disconnect the cannister from the burner head at ease so you can use it any time ..I hope this information helps you out atb jj
I’ve just bought this, so I’m glad to see that it’s effective. I take it you can remove the canister when you’re not using it? Thanks for doing this review.
You most certainly can its designed that way once you've used it to just disconnect it without loss of gas ...hope you enjoy using yours thanks for watching atb jj
Great video, I agree, We were all brought up with Campingaz. I think I,ll plump for this as opposed to the others Ive seen. its simple to use and not a bad price.
You just can't beat this system my friend you'll be pleased with yours...I still.use this alot even I have a few other stoves thanks for watching atb jj
I would say the new universal brands with screws on canisters are hands down better than camping gaz that force you to only use the canisters made by campingaz
What's wrong with the screw ons ? camping gaz are the first brand I have even seen doing puncture and twist on canisters to me it feels a bit restricted on canisters. The universal stoves all go with the universal canisters... camping gaz is stuck in the past in my opinion
I've got more scree on type cannister gas tones now which I I use more than this now tbh as you say they are are bit behind the others I reckon now but I still use this occasionally this review is 3 yrs old thanks anyway for watching atb jj
Good review, a quick question how easy to take off the cylinder after using before its empty , the marketing says you can take off without any gas leak, how do you find that ?would be a lot easy to transport if the cylinder can be removed each time thanks
Hi thanks for your question..each time you use the stove you attach the has cylinder...there's no need to leave attached until it's empty..it attaches and unattached very easily with no loss of gas...and makes it easier to stow away and transport
Generally its the camping gaz cannisters mate ...they work very well and never had any complaints with them..others will fit to a certain degree but when using this I always use the camping gaz ones
good cooker, but this is not bush craft mate, your not making fire like cave men did, your better suited sat in Harlow town centre with this and cook up some crack,

So what about fuel economy? Should I go for the "Bleuet Micro"?
The fuel economy of the bluet micro isn't too bad tbh
Do you have to use cartridges from Campingaz or you can use any other?

ridicilously large and heavy. theres better and cheaper options! still good review
@akkyura00 dude this review is like 6 yrs old mate ..stopped using this an age ago lol
Lpg is cheaper
Probis mate ..what you have to remember is ..this review is over 4 yrs old mate

@peakycap4255 pretty sure it is mate but not everyone is going to use that option to be honest...to be fair I stopped using this awhile ago
