    👍👍👍
    I agree with you .. a great bit of kit.
    I have mine since the mid-70's and still use it regularly. It is the original 'wire clips and canister screw-on' model. It has a built-in wind shield and the pot supports are adjustable (and removable) to cater for small diameter pots and storage.
    The Burner Head and Pot Supports are removable for easier storage. I store and transport mine in a rectangular Toiletry Bag which if need be, can be hung on the outside of my pack. In the Bag .. Gas Camister (installed), Burner Head, Pot Supports, Folding Base Stand, Pot Holder, Cloth and Butane Lighter.
    Here in Switzerland, I can get replacement Gas Cartridges at Decathlon, my local Migros Supermarket just down the road and a host of other places.
    Cost. Price per gram of Gas is less than other Gas Burner Systems and the Burner is pretty economical. Caveat .. I have never had the need to run my Unit on full power (which wastes an inordinate amount of gas .. heat running away and up the sides of the pot). A lower setting still boils water in not that much longer while using far less gas to do so.
    I still see no need to get myself one of the more modern, compact (and expensive) Gas Cookers. My Camping Gaz Bluet 206 still does the job and I, as a 'Boomer' (YOB 1950), was raised as not to allow it's perceived idiosyncracies to get in the way 😏.

    I'm still annoyed that Campingaz discontinued the CV270 bottle as that was a perfect size and sat a bit lower to the ground.

    Looks like you can purify a lot of water with this unit... Thanks again for sharing your review with our group!!! Last year, a Bushcrafting buddy of mine gave me a similar piece of equipment as a gift, and I still haven't tested it... Your video just motivated me to try it...

    Great advice JJ. I have a wee place in France all they sell over there is camping gas stuff. Solid and reliable. I bought a cheap Lixada burner, it’s bulky too. I like the attachment system if you don’t use all your gas. Some of the older campinggaz don’t have that. Nice one 👌

    • @JJ_OUTDOORS
      @JJ_OUTDOORS  3 года назад

      No the older ones you had to leave connected and use all the gas but thankfully the newer click fast system is able to be taken on and off which is much better thanks for watching atb jj

    Hi JJ another downside, although a small one!! Is the gaz knob is back to front, nearly all modern stoves, regardless of make, you turn it right to turn down/off and left to get your brew faster, but the French............buff said! Stay safe my friend, regards Clive from deepest Dorset. ps another great video, thank you👍

    Hi JJ love your videos, found your channel a few days ago and been watching a whole bunch. Can I ask what make/model/size is that little cup that fits the gas can into? I like the idea of keeping the gas can in the mug.

    These are good cookers but I did not like this design because the top that holds the stove does not lock into place and now mine keeps moving when I put a frying pan on it.
