This to me is the best of the best out here I have study silhouette I have an old Cricut Expression, to me as a person who loves Art design and sewing this Scan N Cut 2 especially the 650 model is premium just wonderful. I can't afford one now but as soon as I can I am buying this. I have already sold my friend (my little pink cottage) here on You Tub to purchase one. She got it for Christmas this year she did not know about them until I told her about this. Her education is in Art Graphic design. I highly recommend you ck her out she is going to do but nominal things with this machine! Can't wait!!!
@@BrotherSews Thank you for the reply. I am still scared to start the machine. If I do something wrong and screw up the machine. Also during the set up, the screen on the scanNcut asks for activation code, I do not have the card that is mentioned in the videos, where and how to get the activation code? I registered online, but no where I saw activation code.
I bought the Brother ScanNCut2 last year in April or May 2017 through HSN. When I got it I didn't open it until now but my machine doesn't have the tool holder for the tools. Didn't come with the fabric contact sheet the green ones but only the standard mat and as for the pens it only came with 1 small red & 1 small black. It did come with a universal pen holder and I paid 399.00 for it.
@@BrotherCraftsUSA we got the universal pen holder. It’s the detachable tool holder that supposedly goes behind the monitor (?) that wasn’t included. I cant find this anywhere online either.
Julie when I got my brother scan an cut 2 I didn't get the removable tool holder also I didn't get the pen holder but did get the pens and last but not least I didn't get the wireless card, they only sent me one mat, please tell me how I should get these items, thank you Jeni
May I ask if you really think that the SDX1200 is better than the previous models apart from the obvious differences? In South Africa Brother tells all their agents to only promote the selling of the new Brother. They are told to tell customers that all other models are discontinued. Is that true?
Thanks for all your great videos Julie. Just got my scan n cut. Have no idea why, but when I get it to read a stamped image or I just try to cut a stored pattern it moves to the right of my mat around the 8 and 10 mark and puts a quick slice on my mat before it returns to my pattern to cut. Is this normal?
Hi Julie, I got my scan and cut 2 a year ago and have yet to use it. I am a card maker and I was wondering what mat to use for 80-140 lbs card stock. I was told that they just stop making the medium tack mats. My friend used the machine for fabric and both mats are not sticky do you have a recommendation to clean them? I got mine and thought that there was no accessories, just the mat. I told create and craft then watched this and they were in the boxx under the machine which I thought was just packaging. Anyway still no pens so I hope that they will come after the email I sent.
Hi there. I ordered a scan n cut two on eBay. It still has the packaging on it, but does not have a mat, pen, instructions or anything. The only thing included is a blade and blade holder. The listing did not say that none of these things were included. I paid almost $250 for this. The shop doesn't accept returns. What should I do
Hi Julie I just unboxed my scan n cut 2 and my display screen does not stay in the upright position. It will lock in place but falls back down at the slightest movement. Even when I am just touching the screen to use it. Any suggestions? I don't think this is supposed to happen.

Just how tiny does this machine cut? I need to cut out tiny little paper leaves 1/4” to 1/2”. Will the Scan and Cut cut that small and keep the details? Also, Does the SnC require any continuous supplies to replace/ purchase such as mats or cutting blades?

I only got 1 mat and I can tell it's been used as there were all kinds of cutting marks on it and it is also very dirty. I don't think I'm going to keep it though. I bought mine at Amazon; first disappointment.
Julie please read all, need help. I have the scan n cut2 cm350. I lost my Wi-Fi activation card code sometime around when we moved. I Didn’t use that on day 1 because I like to use a usb cable. My machine failed to be able to read usb and a flash later, I’m not sure why maybe due to an update, IDK. I solved not reading the usb cable and flash card a couple years ago with the help of a second brother cutting machine tech. She led me in solving the not able to recognize my usb cable and flash/thumb stick. Well a bit back I had to have my pc wiped and os reinstalled. Again my much loved scan n cut 2 could no longer recognize the same usb cable and flash . I understand my scan n cut2 is no longer supported. But WHY DID BROTHER REMOVE OR MOVE THE LINK THAT SOLVED THE USB ISSUES MOST OR ALL OF BROTHER BRAND PRODUCTS HAVE WITHOUT ABILITY TO READ OUR WORKABLE USB DEVICES??? I don’t have funds available to pay for true solvable help if available somewhere within brother. Fixable link that’s been removed would help. My snc2 is like new workmanship if not for not recognizing usb etc failures
I have the cm650w model and use it for paper crafts. Is there a mat you would suggest? as the medium and standard mats lost their stick after the 2nd use.

So I finally opened my scan-n-cut cm350 after being in a box in a corner for 2 years (YES, I KNOW- shame on me). Anyway- I searched Julie’s videos trying to figure out how everyone stored their stylus (because I know that I’m going to lose that quick!) because I also did not get a tool tray which she mentioned. I don’t see where I can even get one online… it’s not listed as an accessory on brother. Does anyone have a creative way of storing this without the tool tray? I’m thinking of putting a Velcro strip around the stylus top and attaching somewhere on the machine? Hate to ruin the aesthetic of the beautiful machine…. But don’t want to risk misplacing rage stylus.

Hello, sorry to hear you had a damaged brother arrive. I just wanted to share with you, I've had a similar experience like yours with a purchase once, what I did was ended up emailing photo's I took of the damage on arrival, ( I kept a paper copy of these photo's too). This helped a lot toward getting a replacement machine ( more convincing proof for the company), hope this helps. HAVE A GREAT DAY.
Hi im hoping someone will help me with my problem in scan n cut,I want to cut decoupage ,so I got my sheet ready for printing in craft artist only to realise it cut out all the white parts of the flower,I did try direct on scan n cut same thing is happening,marching ants dont stay around the edge even though i have set to cut outside edge only,I have tried a different sheet and the background is black with flowers in the middle,and I got the edge all around on outside edge but when it scanned it was cutting the flowers in the middle,hope someone understands and can help please
Does everyone get the exact things in their box? I got the 350. But not no where near the stuff that was in your box.. No fabric support sheet for fabric cutting. No medium sticky mat. No wifi card. No applique sheets. Also my mat is super small!!
Do you have the CM350? It's what I have and I'm noticing after viewing this video that my machine didn't come with a tool tray! I went looking all over for it! The one that is shown here is the CM650 and comes with more extras and has a longer mat.
I am having a hard time finding where to order all the extras that did not come with my machine I only received the standard mat and I want the less sticky one, vinyl, fabric accessories and 12 x 24 mat. I would like to get it all from one place. Can anyone help? Also I am having a terrible time with settings and depth. I have watched other videos but... I use mostly paper, card stock and vellum. Thank you a lot for any help.
Deb Crauthers if you have the 350 model, it will not be able to load a 12x24" mat. I understand Michaels is supposed to carry the supplies now but have not seen it at my local Michaels.

cristina jones this is the 650 model it has more in the box. I have the 350, this model (650)is the newest and top of the line. Have you looked at the website www.brother-USA.com/scanncut.

I inherited a SnC 350CM. But I don't have a stylus. Can I order one or substitute a regular stylus?

OK, so, you have to have special pieces to cut fabric that this video says comes with the mat, but ... mine didn't.

The wifi card was optional, I do recall that.
