    Nice and neutral review here, thanks for that. I like your style. Subbed. I had the opportunity to test drive this car in denmark and I was surprised at how good it was. For a company this young they do a lot of things right. It was a smooth ride, modern software and extremely good automatic parking. Also the full scenario voice assistant worked well in english. I was able to adjust the AC with just one sentence in a matter of seconds. For some reason though Xpeng struggles massively to get a foot into the EU marked and even the sales in China are currently very weak. I wonder why. I understand the name "Xpeng" is not the best one for the EU market but other than that its a great car. The store in denmark also saw very little visitors and interest.

      Thanks very much Karlos, appreciate your comments. As for the reasons behind lower interest in Europe, I think it's just a case of time. Chinese brands still have to convince the public that they make good cars now and that takes time and getting bums on seats so people can see it for themselves. It also means you need consistent and prominent marketing and I'm not sure how much any of the Chinese brands are doing on that front. XPeng had a bad last month because they're changing production focus onto the G9 which is the key model right now, with maybe an updated P7 on the way. I've seen the prototypes myself in Guangzhou so hopefully it'll address some of the weak points in this version.

      One reason: Slow fast charging speed of max 100kwh/h
      Tesla, Kia, Hyundai, Porsche offer twice the charging speed.

      Haha. I hear some pronounce it right one time then wrong the next time. Don't know why it's hard to be consistent.

    It's good, but I feel a bit overmatched overall, especially at the top end ... I'd prefer the Zeekr over this one.

      No doubt the game has moved on very quickly which means refreshes are more important than ever. But we have seen the P7 testing with LiDAR so hopefully it gets a kit upgrade with that to step up a touch, plus some cabin upgrades, though interior space will likely need to wait for an all-new version.

    • @InsideChinaAuto
      @InsideChinaAuto  Год назад

      @number19real It is but they're not even competing in the same space, the ET7 is much bigger, much more expensive, and more powerful, and newer.

      @@InsideChinaAuto the interior of this car it looks a lot of cheap materials..even if this car is compared to the et5 which has the same price range, et5 is still better

    • @InsideChinaAuto
      @InsideChinaAuto  Год назад

      @number19real OK, we get it, you've got shares in NIO. The ET5 definitely has better materials, the P7 is a bit disappointing in that respect but it's a lot older and cheaper too. It also comes from a time when XPeng weren't really sure who they were targeting I think, but it wasn't the premium audience of NIO. I think that's changing though with the G9, they've moved their own game on a lot, NIO matured much faster.

    Xpeng recently updated the P7 with the P7i,
    That model comes with a Qualcomm 8155, Nvidia Orin-X and a CLTC-measured range of 700KM.
    Fast-charging times have been improved to 30 mins.
    Would be interested to see how that compares with the old model

      To be honest, its quite sad in Indonesia there are not a lot of approachable EV yet (mostly Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Wuling Air Ev specifically). This is the beginning and I hope there will be more approachable, quirky, unique EV especially hatchbacks and sedan from China to Indonesia. Btw keep up the video. I can binge watching all of your videos, very entertaining.

    There are 4 things i dont like about this car.
    1- the pillars are super thick. All of them make the visibility difficult
    2- The rear window is super small. Which goes in the visibility folder
    3- The door handles will create problems in cold weather climates and snow and ice. Unless of course they are heated. Which i doubt.
    4- The wheels are ugly. Everyone is doing black wheels and it detracts from the look of the car. I would go with at least a chrome lip. I miss chrome on the wheels these days
    I was going to include the rear headrests, but it looks like they can be removed for better visibility.

      If the American lives in Europe or China, yes, but I'm afraid they're not available stateside yet, and that may become more difficult with the recent requirements for sourcing of battery materials that Biden announced recently, so getting hold of Chinese EVs won't be easy. But XPeng do have a location in the US for tech development and I know they want to be in the US, just not sure when that chance will come.
