I have really been enjoying these double Topher reviews lately, hope this will become regular thing on this chanel.
same, was abt to say that these two guys make a great combo. I would try and avoid the unnecesary duality that other car review duos like straight pipes and throttle house, i feel like having two people in the car in those reviews dont really add anything as both guys are equally as knowledgable on most things. Point is, if your gonna be a duo, each member needs to bring something unique to the video. In this case it works, Topher i feel is best at conveying how a car drives to the audience and picking up on those small details, which his friend has a lot of the specific knowledge he lacks
@@shailenverma8835 I disagree. If straight pipes and throttle house did not have their duos, then their channels would not have millions of subscribers. Their channels run on the idea of 2 goofy guys making it first and foremost "entertaining" videos, with everything else coming after. Topher has a more serious and mature attitude towards his reviews, with more objectivity and neutrality.

Tbh I love the looks of the XM, always had. It's one of the bold designs that I really love. Unfortunately, on paper I would be the perfect person for an M2, and it's the one model I find ugly... Can't spend this much on a car and hate looking at it

I 100% agree guys. This is a showcase car from bmw and M. Then You know that this is not the time to be safe, and maybe a little boring. You have to take some risk and be bold and Try to stand out with a different design language. I think thatBMWM have done an Amazing job. Have seen it with so many specs and different color. I love this car in all honesty. I truly hope to have one someday. I have a 2016 X1 right now and i want to get the XM. I love this thing. Personally.
People criticizing this car, when it's because of those same people who buy SUVs that BMW created that car. They complain that it's not a two-door super sports car and mention Mercedes with its AMG One, but the AMG One is limited production and only for Europe, plus it's only for millionaires who buy those cars to have them as collectibles. The XM is for those who buy high-performance SUVs such as the Urus which Lamborghini's best-selling car, there are also Aston Martin and Ferrari that also thanks to the success of this market that Porsche started have cars that people disown but are a sales success. So those who criticize the reason for the existence of this car and why there are no longer any real coupes for most people blame it on the SUV craze that you yourselves have grown to this point.
If only I had $190K to spend! I agree with BMW constant refinements. My 2023 X3M has many small improvements over a 2020. Better ride even. Biggest surprise is 25 highway MPG vs 22!

@@devynyates1929 Here's a better idea. You don't need a 7000lb bloated huge absolutely hideous suv that makes 500hp. That's how you get better than 25mpg. Most people don't even need an SUV to begin with.
This video does no justice for this suv this car it’s amazing I drove it last week and I never really care about cars but this one here was different is just the type of car that makes you research about it and just a perfect car for anybody with money cuz it ain’t cheap but is worth it I have driven cars worth 300k-400k and this one it’s just different

I see a lot of XMs since I live in Munich and BMW test drivers or employees are on the roads quite often with these and every time I encounter one of these at night I think an overweight pig is charging me because of the light up "grille".

They’re offering crazy lease deals in Maryland. I’m assuming no one is buying them, but I am seeing lease for as little as 1100 a month. Even though people talk shit about this cars design that price is very tempting

Grats to BMW on fixing this. I bet this wasn’t easy to develop. One thing is I WISH they could fix their crashy suspension. Just suck it up and buy GM’s magnaride and call it a day.
If you’re after a fast BMW luxury SUV. The Alpine XB7, X7 M60i, and X5M are all better options.
You cannot go to work full electric with others. And you do not have the torque of the electric neither. Some cities will exclude non electric cars from city center. This car is also looking like no others. If you want to be bad ass take it black. And we just heard it’s in the video. The sound is way better than the X6M or X5M.

Why do all BMWs have the CSL styled side mirrors now? Actually hilarious because everyone would make fun of you if you threw on CSL mirros on a non CSL car prior to 2021. Its like putting an M badge on a 318i. This really shows how the new BMW buyers are not pre existing BMW owners but new buyers.
They're adding more M bits to the M-lite models like the M340i and X2 M35i, because it's what buyers want. Not saying it's the right move, but it helps the cars look cooler.

Yeah, it's like BMW was gunning for Urus or Bentley customers but forgot they don't play in the same prestige bracket. The whole point of M-cars is having some practicality with performance, and the price of the XM is very impractical when compared to an X5M or X7 M-series. Once you're spending excessively, why not get the most prestigious car?

I know this is a completely different vehicle, but which do you think is a better hybrid system? This or a C8 ERay?
I have only heard muted praise for the ERay, since the hybrid only does torque fill and only connects to the front axle. I think the XM is more versatile with PHEV capability and AWD electric.
Make sure you blur the heads up display as well… lol
one think to note, you blur the speedo, but the heads-up display still be snitching on you!

The XM is biggest mistake BMW has ever made.
The XM is the result of modern BMW’s endless pursuit to become modern Mercedes 2.0. The BMW we know and love is dead. There’s no going back to greatness now.
I think BMW is stuck and can't expand anywhere else. They used to make practical, fun-to-drive cars at a premium. But when every Honda sedan has nicely tuned suspension and "adequate" power, and even Toyota and Hyundai have cracked the code to fun practical cars, BMW has to go for higher margin customers. Those customers want serene cars with no road feedback, or bragging rights for lap times. I worry "fun to drive" isn't a big enough market for BMW, so they just pay lip service to driving enthusiasts while going for the money.

I dont get it. I mean is it just the engine setup that makes this so expensive because the interior doesnt exactly scream 'super luxury' compared to other luxury SUVs. Would rather go a lower model and spend some money having someone modify the looks inside and out. That roof would really annoy me. But that's a personal issue.

As a long time BMW fan, as an owner of an E46 M3, as someone who even likes the new G series for what it is... there's no getting around what a ridiculous product this is. It's a massive dilution of the M brand, and a stain on what it's supposed to represent. It's a tacky status symbol, with M pillows and a designer bag. Call it for what it is. I think it's disingenuous to do "impressions" like this, if you're not going to be analytical or honest about it.
And the CSL side mirrors on a non CSL car. Bmw has been putting them on all their M cars now.
I know everyone will have their own opinion, but this car seems tacky to me. Nothing elegant whatsoever about it. I'm sure its faster than any car I own, but I just don't care.
