  • I visited a Korean folk village (민속촌) together with my son Jeremy who’s 7 years old, and we explored everything and learned about the traditional Korean way of life - all while speaking in Korean. (This video is not sponsored, and we paid for everything ourselves.) The place we visited is called 한국민속촌 (“Korean Folk Village”).

I just want to say thank you so much. I’m almost to the end of your course for beginners. I write down everything in those videos. I’m usually shy but today I went to the international club at my college and I was able to have a conversation with some Korean students. They were really surprised and happy and we added each other on Instagram. Without you it wouldn’t have been possible. Thanks for helping me make connections with people I couldn’t otherwise ❤

Jeremy is a RIOT! Love his energy and his whole vibe :-) I really want to visit this Korean folk village; I LOVE learning historical facts about places (like a museum) so the fact that this is a theme park of sorts built like Korea of the past... AWESOME!

My fam was just there for Chuseok! Such an amazing place. My daughter pushed that same mill wheel 😊 the crafts they had were sword decorating and nametag making.

Sword decorating sounds like fun! The hat kind of fell apart after this video, but I also didn't do a great job putting it together.

My family loved visiting this place! I took them when they came to visit me when I was studying in Daegu and they still talk about it 4 years later. It seems like it changed a lot because it didn't have rides or a convenience store when I went, so it'd be cool to visit again

Oh, I knew there were places like this, but I hadn't seen much of them before.
I think it'd be interesting to check it out. I really enjoyed this video. Jeremy is cute, he reminds me of my niece, she is just at the point where she thinks thst grabbing any recording device or phone, filming her self and making crazy, silly faces with it is the best thing in the whole world. 🤭
Maybe she'd like to visit a place like this someday too~

I started learning Korean when I was 50, so you're definitely not too old. I'm not very good yet (아직 잘 못해요) but it's really interesting and fun, so I'm motivated to keep going. Billy is a great teacher and good at making things clear and understandable. (Also very patient and encouraging!)
