Hi Linda! You’re sweater is beautiful! I think the color work will have a greater impact if you stop after the yoke. Just my opinion since you asked. ☺️
Yay we’re in Spain!! Sorry it’s so hot but you’re upcoming trip sounds amazing!! Lots of pretty socks! Your festive sweater is looking great!! I like the idea of a grey body with sone small color work at the bottom and bottom of sleeves.
Thank you for watching as always🤗 It was very hot at the time. Much more manageable now but still very different from the Pacific Northwest! Sorry for the late reply - happy crafting❤️
I am happy to see you using sheet bags for your project bag. I do that too. I like to reuse things as much as I can. And I love clear bags so that I can see what is in them.
Making great progress on all your knits, Linda! My eyes popped when I saw the sticker... and then you giggled for me LOL Love it! have a wonderful road trip and enjoy your car knitting! Oh my goodness I'm getting fomo seeing your Go Go Dynamo on the screen... arrrgghhhhhhh I wanna do it toooooooo!! lol
Hey there - again…sorry for the late reply…I am pretty sure that sticker belongs in your crafting area…guarding it for safe travels home - LOL…miss you
Hi Linda! You deserve a gold star 🌟 for deciding on AND packing such a great collection of 6 knitting projects into your bags to go to Spain! That is a stressful process. I love your stained glass socks, and your Festive Yoke Sweater is fabulous! The Lichen and Lace is hand dyed on single ply woolen spun Briggs & Little sport. Softens up rather nicely - I’ve used it in two shawls. Hope you’re having an amazing road trip! With regards to Patrick’s sweater … is it possible he might suddenly want a vest!!? Sweaters are overrated 🤣
Yep, I am having a wonderful time, thank you! Too funny ! A vest is a great possibility - sooooo much easier! but I think P wants the sweater - bummer - lol. Question - how do you respond to the question: “Is there any problem travelling with Needles on the plane?”…I get that question a lot so just curious how best to answer. Enjoy a fab, cozy October - …oh …and did I thank you for the “Cutbank Girls”…they are a hoot! ❤️
Lovely knits. Love the various sock patterns. For your sweater I would just do the yoke in the colour work and then do the snowflake motif on the sleeve just before the cuff with a 2-3 row stripe of one of the contrasting colours just before and just after the snowflakes. Thanks for mentioning Once Upon a Sheep. Unfortunately I live too far away to visit them, but will look at their website. Have fun on your adventures in Spain. Take Care.
Looking forward to the SW mystery shawl, too!! I am not daring, so I am making mine totally out of two shades of cream with vanilla mohair!!! I figure I will learn lots of fun stitches, and not have to worry about a crazy end product.😊

I'll be in Torremolinos from the 6th to 21st of October. If by any chance you pass by the Bajondillo Hotel, I would be so happy to meet you. Hope you have a great time on your trip... 🙂

Thanks for highlighting Once Upon a sheep Linda. Just to clarify, for the month of October FIRST TIME VISTORS to the shop will receive 10% any yarn in the shop including the exciting new yarns we just got. Love your festive sweater!!! Have a great time on your trip to the north of Spain!!!
Looks like you have lots of fun knitting for your time in Spain! I vote for keeping the colorwork in your sweater to just the yoke. Just my opinion. Enjoy your road trip--hope it's cooler where you are going! We are back in the 100's again in the Bay Area of CA. I'm so over the heat!!

Hi Linda. I had to laugh as I'm behind on my podcasts because I'm spending my time working on the MKAL and trying to keep up. I hope your roadtrip went well and that you had lots of knitting time while being the passenger. It's always an interesting game of what fits in suitcases when it comes to knitting. for your festive sweater I like the idea of just the color work in the yoke and perhaps a design at the cuffs vs all over color work. Have fun in Spain and Barcelona Knits.
Thank you Sharon - had a great road trip…not too much knitting…to busy eating, drinking, ….if I could just learn to knit while walking - lol. Yoke only seems to be unanimous. Hope you are keeping well. Happy Crafting🤗
Hi dear Linda, so much looking forward to Barcelona, especially now it is getting closer.🥰🤩 I always get a big smile on my face when I see you with that pouch.😃 About your Christmas cardigan: I have made one myself approx. 1,5/2 years ago and did the colorwork all over. Last year I have made the sweater and did the colorwork in the yoke only, and that was also very beautiful. With your beautiful colors I would knit the colorwork only in the yoke, and knit the body in mc, because the yoke will then already be so gorgeous. And yes, I am ready to Go go dynamo; we’ll go for it.😂🤣💪🏻 Love your color combo. Have a great roadtrip in Spain, dear friend. 😘💕
